Ceiling Fan Advice Needed

Recommended Posts

Hi. My flat is a 3.5 room HDB and I'm staying in the .5 room. I'm planning to purchase a ceiling fan for this room. Dimension of room is approximately 2.3m length, breadth and height.

I've narrowed down my choices to Fanco FFM4000 and Amasco Fresh 2 as these 2 models are suitable for low ceilings and both have option for light. The diameter of 48" also fits well into the room.

I'm leaning more towards Fanco FFM4000 mainly due to the competitive price. Could anyone with experience with this fan share your thoughts?

Currently I would like to know:

- Is the wind strong even at low setting?

- Is the fan noisy and will it wobble? I read that at medium to high settings, ceiling fans might make noise and wobble.

- Is the remote control long-lasting?

- How long before the fan stop working on some speeds? I read that this is mainly due to faulty capacitors and we would have to again spend money to have the electrician come replace it.

I would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks.

Beware of amasco and bacera (shop at geylang) totally unreliable, reschedule my installation 3 times with dubious reason such as staff MC, no accountability between supplier and agent on committed schedule, electrician simply didn't turn up on our scheduled date and time. if they are like this with new purchases, what more if my fan had any servicing problems.
