stitch85 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2014 Hi there,I am renovating my new 4 room BTO.Can anyone advise how do ID charge or quote by per lighting point?I have been charge by total numbers of downlights and T5 led lights for lighting points.Is this a standard practice for all ID to charge that way?Other then charging me per lighting point, ID also charge me installation of per downlights and T5 led lights.Please help!! Happy Ending 4 Report post Posted November 28, 2014 That is the standard practice. But you can tell your electrician to leave the wiring point for you to DIY the connection for the T5. It is very easy to join the T5 together and even a 3yr old kid knows how to do it. It is just like playing Lego brick. Save an addition $8 per T5.If you are adventurous, you can also do the same for all the ceiling lights and fan too. That is what I did for my new house.
