I'm new here, and wanted to see if I can get any ideas on what could be making a high pitched sound in the ceiling.Initially I thought that it was my air conditioning, but I've tried turning it off and the sound still occurs. So best bet is that it's caused by upstairs neighbour. The noise kinda sounds like someone turning something off and on again and again, and it's like a whistling sound (like a kettle). But it occurs so often, on and off, that I can't really make out what is happening upstairs. We have checked with the lady upstairs and she claims that she doesn't hear it. I'm not sure if she is turning her tap off and on again so many times in a day, as some incidents have lasted more than 2 minutes. Sometimes the noise makes it impossible to sleep at night. And it occurs at different frequencies too, sometimes it's soft and other times its loud.Not really sure who to contact for this situation - HDB or what - so would appreciate if anyone has any idea!
