ID/Contractor backed out of project after loan approved.

Recommended Posts

Seeking anyone advice.

Is there a case for me to bring this to small tribunal to seek compensation.

We engaged an ID masking as a contractor to do some minor renovation works (Kitchen & Study Room, $25k++ project) and after approximately 8 to10 weeks into the process/nego and several round of amending the quotation (adding in and remove some works) we settled on the price and applied for the loan based on the quotation and the ID's company stamp as required by the banks.

Loan was approved and we headed down to sign the contract and to put down the initial DP. But as the project was handed over to another designer, she had asked to visit the site one last time which we had arranged for the same evening.

Shortly after leaving the ID, we received a text message from the 1st Designer whom handed the project over saying "we have discussed and we cant do your project, we oso haven't sign quotation, so cancel site appointment, in other other words where not taking your project. Seeking anyone who been in this position before and whats steps did you take.

Hi, you can actually cancel the loan by just letting the bank know your situation or just find another ID firm to renovate your house and just change the quotation document with the bank.
What is your status currently ?
