Looking for a reliable brand for replacement kitchen tap

My P***** "branded" kitchen tap started to leak and come apart after 3 years of use and is leaking all over and damaging my kitchen cabinet.  I'm trying to look for a replacement, but unlike bathroom taps, the branded ones like Grohe are crazy expensive for Kitchen taps while brands like P****** are basically China OEM so it's basically hit and miss. 

Another problem which I'm facing is I don't know the diameter of the existing tap hole on the kitchen top.  Is there a standard hole size?  Spent hours researching but still can't find a solution.
