assertives 2 Report post Posted December 6, 2021 Hi guys, have a question regarding where to mount my split unit aircon. So I hacked away the wall that seperates my living room and the master bedroom and installed sliding glass doors in its place under a partial partition mounted from the ceiling. The plan was to then install curtains on the ceiling Infront of the sliding glass doors. The glass doors and curtains faces my bed. Now I want to mount my spilt unit aircon on this same side (i.e. facing my bed) but since the curtains are being installed on the ceiling, I cannot mount the aircon on the partial partition where the sliding doors were installed under as the curtains will be in the way of the aircon. I was wondering if it's possible to build a curtain pelmet in front of the curtains and then mount the aircon unit on this pelmet instead? Something like this but not at the window area.
