goomos 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2010 I wonder if anyone has had similar experience: Bought a Reg@ 118 water heater and it broke down after barely six months. I had to pay $30 as "service charge" even though the unit is still under warranty. Serviceman came and I was told that the heating element was leaking electricity , which was the reason for my circuit breaker to trip. The interesting thing is that he said he has no parts and had to make a claim from the factory and could not tell me when it will arrive. Considering that this unit is priced at the league of brands like Aristxn and panasonxc, I urge would be buyers to read the warranty terms and conditions carefully.
