Found that the design is abit lacking in something... still cannot figure out where, but got advice and inspiration to try out lines from living extending to kitchen. Here's the first trial, think it's abit noisy with the painting + artwork, will try removing it and see how it looks. Any comments if it looks better with the lineworks?? Thanks

Hihi! Can I gather more info? When you say Toshiba Sys3 non-inv, think you talking about RAS-3M20S2AX right? For the fancoil, are you looking at RAS-M10SKPX (9000BTU) x 3 or other configurations? One thing I notice when I check that model, seems like it's using R22? In case you didn't know, R22 will be phase out in 11 years~ Will your unit require bracket for the compressor? Thanks! Just to share abit on what I'm looking at and the current quotes i got (include installation, exclude brackets) Mitsubishi Electric MXY-3A28VA + 1 x 9000 BTU + 1 x 12000 BTU + 1 x 22000 BTU @ $3180 Mitsubishi Heavy Industrial SCM80ZG-S + 1 x 9000 BTU + 1 x 12000 BTU + 1 x 22000 BTU @ $3680

Updates on Shopping[/ Thailand Bought some toilet fixtures from Thailand~ Bought 2 table lamps too~ still in the box unassembled~ & 2 cute toilet seat cover! will take photo when got time ^^ Stove & Hob Went to Jalan Besar on Monday, found Poh Joo very friendly~ Spoke with Benjamin there, nice uncle figure, not pushy, friendly and willing to explain Apparently, the SMEG stove I have my eyes on costs a whooping 2000++ forgot how many hundreds.. and the hood is 3299 X_X""" Had strike them off my list... Maybe going for Rinnai Katana Hood + Stove, although not that pretty, it's much much kinder on the pocket at $1048 for one set. Uncle at Poh Joo told me that there are 2 new models for Rinnai hood and gave me the address for the showroom~ Haven't went there see since coughing badly >< If gonna take Rinnai, think will take the oven too Sink For sink, had more or less settled for this~! Wanted a small refuse bin, since my countertop got only 300mm left between sink and stove, thought this may work well for me~ 880L x 470W x 195D @ $299, if add soap dispenser add $39, sink spray add $39 Fridge On the same Monday, me and HB went to Alexandra at night. Met Jozef at Hong Liang to find out prices for some electronic items. He's extremely friendly too! First sale person I've met that after talking to us for 1/2 hour, ask us to buy closer to our move-in date to take advantage of dropping electronic prices~! Amazing how he can remember most of the models.. so many brands and models X_X As for fridge, I was at first planning to get the Fisher & Paykel E411TRX fridge due to the 4 tick energy rating. Jozef explained to us that the fridge at $1380 vs a 3 tick fridge at $800, it'll take ages for the energy saving to cover. Did some checking on the NEA website, the F&P fridge (377L) will costs about $142 per year to operate vs a Hitachi 3 tick fridge of 363 liters cost $187 per year. Making an assumption, F&P fridge costs $0.377 per liter per year, Hitachi costs $0.511 per liter per year thus for same capacity, Hitachi costs about $193 per year i.e. a $51 difference per year... with a 7 years depreciation, that's about $360 cost difference, i.e. the max price for the Hitachi we should pay is less than $1020. I think it may cost $800 only!! So we got $200 to cater for the increase in electrical prices~! Think will have to recheck fridge to see which ones look nicer and is 'cost effective' Updates on Home Design Going abit craze over the house design... can't seem to get the feel I was hoping to get T_T Met with Patrick from Hobee last Sunday at the flat, waiting for his quotation now... Got an ID we are comfy with from Gplan, quotation seems okie too, but still wanna hear from Patrick since he got such good reviews from renotalk

HiHi porkypig Thanks~! It's really helpful to know that it can be trimmed, so I think it can be trimmed for the funny protruding portion bah~ Will double check with the sales before I buy ^^

Same layout as mine! ^^
-
Hi! Welcome fellow 3rmer ^^ Congrats on your new place
-
Hi porkypig, Thanks for the reply. Can I also ask if the long metal part of the hood is a beautifying item, i.e. to conceal a normal looking tube inside the metal? Thanks~!
-
Hi, Currently my kitchen wall have a protruding portion of about 67mm x 530mm on the top. I'm thinking of using a chimney hood for my stove. Is it possible?? Can part of the chimney be cut out to fit the protruding portion? Thanks!
-
Hi rdnest, Can share the contact of your carpenter?? How much is he charging you per foot run for shoe cabinet, feature wall/console, wardrobe, kitchen cabinet? Thanks
-
Hi koikoi, Still finalizing the design, planning to have 2 to choose one from ^^ I also keep thinking of maintenance, don't want to spend my days cleaning and dusting I think for ours, we should be staying there for a looonnnggg time. No plans to move so wanna make it nice nice mah Hi rdnest, Thanks~ must have a rendering program with google sketchup. I'm using podium, easier to use. must get the model done in detail then add lights to render then can le~ very time consuming though X_X
-
Hi mmycheng, Cos i not sure the design ok or not mah.. now on paper only, dunno can execute or not. X_X I saw some quotes from IDs in the forum, looks ok, so thought go ask ask =P Apparently, one ID firm quoted me nearly the same as the first contractor, but more expensive Hi koikoi, thats true, my hb was like... y r u drilling the details now rather then confirming the overall design no id yet, maybe will go for contractor, den the id fees can be used to do more for the house. not sure yet, cos got one id got really good idea... but... 17k over the budget!
-
Hi saeran Your house is really Can introduce your contractor to me? Thanks ^^
-
!! Great Idea~! if i still cannot decide by the time i get my contractor/id, i shall put a series of downlight that compliment the lights for the passageway between the bedrooms~! thanks a million~!
