PM sent~ I suppose timber blinds are those wooden strips blinds, no?? They are quite ex though. My normal blinds for both bedrooms shld be PVC material...total block-out light and very easy to clean~

Yes...got mine from a freelancer who owned a small family business specialised in blinds and curtain...thats why cheaper than others..

must depend on the material used on the blinds and curtains...they can be expensive becos of better material used... I hv rainbow blinds (zebra blinds) for my living room and plain roller blinds for 2 bedrooms...total $550.

Mine is about 38k too...think more or less the same reno cost for 3rm units..

haha..I got the same "chicken pox" tiles for both my toilets...but mine didnt mix with other colors...just all white..

Hi smartgold...yes my ceiling fan is space 1 from fanco..there are a few colors available and mine is silver grey. Regarding the Hitachi fridge, I found out that goh ah bee is not cheapest..I got it from tai sin radio at toa payoh central for $1089.00.

Hi Nexter, I hired a contractor for my reno...and he is a very busy man...becos he is so busy, he is also quite forgetful so must keep reminding him on all the reno stuff...so by the end of my reno, I think I will become more lor soh than my mum Most of the time I have to liaise directly with his sub-cons as I see his sub-cons more than I see him...we always have to talk on the phone as I hardly get to see him... So far not much issues on the workmanship...just that sometimes when I want something to be done, he will say cannot this cannot that...and I have to insist I want it to be done my way.

Went down to my unit yesterday during lunch time and saw that 1 of the workers was installing my main door and storeroom door..the other 2 workers were clearing up the place to prepare for chemical washing...in order not to obstruct them, I quickly snapped a few shots and go off. I will try to remember to take pics next time...every visit sure got issues to settle with contractor so keep forgetting to take pics Meanwhile can take a look at the 3D drawings done by my carpenter. Only the living room and kitchen is what I want, both bedrooms still need to make some changes so not posting the drawings for both bedrooms.

Hi barcadibreezer, I'm still renovating so will wait till complete reno then I will see if I will recommend my main con..so far his sub cons r ok but he himself the main con is very busy and quite forgetful.. Carpenter is my m'sian relative..he only do for relatives in sg and so far his workmanship is not bad..hopefully he will do a good job for me.

oic...no wonder she is so stress...i only need to co-ordinate the carpentry and air-con and boy it is stressful enough for me~

Hi MrsLoo, if u get a contractor to do most of the things, he/she will co-ordinate with his/her sub-cons...there is no need for u to co-ordinate unless u engage diff sub-con for diff works yourself. For me, I let my contractor handle most of the works except carpentry and air-con installation.
