  1. Hope pple think twice before going to this store to get your furniture! although their showroom display sets seem nice and good quALity... but you will get a different thing when they arrived ! eg: they will tell you its stainless steel material etc etc... but you get chrome ! and they will make it several trips to deliver everything to u.. sometimes is dimensions wrong, sometimes is spoilt items etc. you will end up waste so much time having to wait there for them ! and their stuff are not exactly cheap compared to other more reputatble stores out there which are having promotions. ! Just my advice, think twice ! dun end up regret getting poor quality goods and full of anger ! I bought my stuffs from them beginning of yr. first delivery is Oct. but now, coming to Dec, they have yet to finish delivering all my orders!!! they will come out with all sorts of excuses... typhoon, shipment delay, factory wrong dimension etc. . !!! oh... and can tell you, in the past 1 yr since the first time i stepped in to buy, their staffs kept changing... so when i wanna find the salesguy who sold the so-called " high quality" furniture with mid range prices , they told me he left and they cant ascertain what is our conversation/ promises between us and the salesguy who left ! another tactic to shirk responsibilty !!
  2. dun worry !! jus leave it to him... but different pple gt different expectations and requirements.. so if he left out any detail, you can just let him know and he will try his best to do it for u......... =) you are in good hands...
  3. So u r the one who came to our house last Sat ! hehhee... thanks for your compliments ! hope everything is smooth for you ! Dun worry , just feedback your ideas to him ... he will try his best in our requests one..
  4. OIC.... i have pm you Steven's no... hahhaa... mebbe he can start doing for u right away since his workers are also in JW doing my hse.. lolz..
  5. First of all... you have to confirm that ID to do the reno for u first... then they will do the 3d for you... for mine, Steven will email to me the soft copies .. tats y u saw my 3d pics for my toilets above.. hehhehe..
  6. Oh man... so sorry to hear that... but think they had a lot of projects on hand now... too good biz ... who did you approached? What i did was to go down to their office and look for Steven directly. Lucky he was around that first meeting i went. Weekends usually very packed for them bah... cos they got a lot of things to settle i believe,... today, Steven met us at our new place to discuss about the colors and other stuff. then last weekend he accompanied us to buy lightings ( well... very few IDs will do that.. mebbe they will just ask you to go get the stuff yourself.. so i was quite satisfied with his service .. ) ... Then after discussing at our new hse this morning, he gt to rush to accompany another couple to select tiles liaos.. think their weekends are burnt liddat lor.. he say he dun even have time for his own family sometimes.. Have you decided your ID already? mebbe you can contact Steven.. so far, i think he is the most responsible ID i have approached.. I have done my research on IDs, approached countless IDs since last November till now, but he is the one who can really let me have the kinda trust and assurance that my hse will be in good hands. Not sure if you have already confirmed ur ID.. but if not, u might want to contact Steven... I can PM you his contact no.. .
  7. Hi all who intend to engage Steven from Idealhouse... here's the initial preview of the toilets to be done by Steven... like his design a lot!!! *impressed* The common toilet... modern sleek design with grey black and white tiles!! My MBR toilet... resort theme...
  8. hey peeps... i saw Carrefour/ Giant gt sell ... 2 types... 1 is those metal type.. think is about $150+ or less ( if i din rem wrongly) ... 3 layers.. and the 2nd type is those toyogo type for heavy duty... only less than 100 bucks... if not my dad says those hardware shops... gt sell the metal strips to DIY your own shelf... 1 strip is 10ft... 8bucks... its those kind of metal shelf which you see in provisional shops... so u jus tell the hardware shop the dimensions you req.. then they will cut for u.. then very easy jus use nuts and bolts to assemble can liaos..
  9. Hello all !! I finally signed up with Idealhouse after much research. My ID is Steven Tay. He is very professional and so far, he always take the initiative to follow up with us on the design and layout and the nitty gritty. I would say very responsible guy .. and easy to talk to.. he will try to advise you and whether the ideas you give is practical or not etc.. Previously we had signed up with another firm but few months down the road no respnse at all from that firm.. glad we found idealhouse and very satisfied... currently still undergoing the discussion on the layout with Steven . Will update the progress in time to come !
  10. Dun think so ex !! Dun be extorted by them.. laying is just the same labour required.. moreover yours is 4rm.. you r right... you shd not pay so much for the labour costs since it shd be compensated by HDB in the first place. mebbe a few hundreds is more than enough. its a bonus to them. but they shd not be asking so much from you. It will be almost the same costs as if you find outside reno contractors to do it. Did you find out from your own reno id?? if they insists, then ask them why not they pay you back 1k ( labour) + 2k ( original tiles ) =3K... then you get your own id to do it ? hahhaha.. or tell them you will ask HDB head office if it is true you must top up so much... see they scared anot.. and there are 2 types of mtds of laying the tiles. Wet and Dry Mtd. Cheaper mtd ( not very reliable ) is dry mtd. they just hack off top area and use a chemical thingy to relay the tiles. but heard that it wun last very long. Wet mtd is the lasting mtd. they hack to the bottom, put sand and cement again and then relay. ask them to confirm which mtd they using. However, they will tell you nowadays HDB all use dry mtd... for me, i dun trust dry mtd ( cos my bf's father last time in this industry).. so i insist them to do wet mtd for me. Good luck ! =)
  11. i jus called town council... they say they will only provide the space downstairs for our contractors to throw the debris stuff,.... and it cost 135bucks... but they dun help to transport the debris from our hse to downstairs... so funny... hmm... confusing.. then she say its different in our case... cos its renovation... no nid pay if not due to reno... if its like throwing bulky furniture kinda situation.. hmmm.. spore = $$$$$$$$$$$$$
  12. WAH HENG... cos i put the haulage under "optional item".. so not included yet.. but that is the quote. cos i hack 2 toilets... my fren opposite us... doing whole kitchen, 2 toilets being quoted 1k haulage! ur starmex is inverter or non-inverter? how much you buy?? cos my ID giving me non-inverter starmex.. then i thinking got need to upgrade to inverter anot... hmmm... then he says have to top up 1k+ for it !
