  4. Hi his hp# 90222321

ya met up with him to discuss my reno requirements. nice guy but super bz. in my 1/2 hour meeting with him, his hp rang quite a few times even on a sat. LOL..his quote is very ex tho

  5. hey norman. thanks for the info! i was still feeling quite worried initially about spending almost $3k on the bedframe & mattress. but all my friends said one should invest more on a good bed. so glad to know that OM beds are good. i'm forgoing the sofa from OM & will be getting a 2-seater sofa from Commune instead.
  6. thank you! the sofa is from OM...going for less than $1k
  7. been thinking thru the layout for my unit & finally came up with this: and after getting so many quotes & making myself confused, I've (unofficially) appointed Alan the contractor to do my house. i'll have to do without the 3D drawings. hope everything turns out well.
  8. went over to lush & ordered 2 eames chairs & a TV console! reno hasn't even started & i'm buying my furniture first. sorry for the bad quality picture: Lush is having a 30% storewide discount till year end
  9. hey! i think i read somewhere that prozfile may be the same co as project file & the later seems to have bad reviews. though this is not verified but better be safe than sorry!
  10. Hi Nexer saw the tiles at hafary. as for the "wooden" WC, i think the name of the shop is spazio. cost is $580, if i recalled correctly.
  11. My fan arrived today! OMG so heavy...wonder if there will be any problem installing it went window shopping for tiles & got confused by the selection. think need to make another trip again. took photos of some that i like. Wood like tiles: I love this tile that look very much like cement screeding! and this tile will go into my master bedroom bathroom (most probably): window shopping continues tomorrow...
  12. HAHAHA ya abit kiasu.....but really can't find a fan that i really like & within my budget. wanted the haiku fan but it's wayyyyyyy to expensive
  13. started scouting around for some furnishing ideas for my home. shortlisted some for my home Sofa from Air: and i'm eyeing this blue fridge from SMEG: Study desk from JotterGoods oh and my fan from Australia has been shipped out! can't wait!
  14. tired from all the sourcing of quotations. finally shortlisted 3. I think i've approached more than 10 companies so far & 10 quotes were received. This is the latest summary of the quotes I've gotten - and yes, this will be the final list. no more looking around. it's really tiring! 1) U Home (Pen - ID) - met up 2 mths ago but no quote yet. think they aren't keen in doing business 2) Design Ministry (ID - recommended by colleague) - quote submitted. way exceeded budget by at least $10k. 3) Prozfile (Alvin - ID) - saw their booth at a recent exhibition at expo. love their designs. quote was ok (mid range) 4) Vace (Vincent - Contractor) - recommended by colleague. suprisingly expensive, despite being a contractor. 5) Renozone (Colin - ID) - recommended by friend. very prompt & sincere. quote among the top 3 most competitive. 6) AMDA Interior (Ambrose) - recommended by friend. quote among the top 3 most competitive. 7) Mr K - contractor - recommended by Renotalk members. very expensive. 8) Ming Hui - ID - recommended by agent. ex as well. 9) Jiawei - recommended by renotalk member. quote was rather ex. 10) Aian (Alan - contractor) - recommended by renotalk members. quote among the top 3 most competitive. So, I've shortlisted the following: 1) Renozone (Colin - ID) - recommended by friend. Colin is the boss. Very busy man but never fails to return my calls when I have questions about the quote - met up with him once & he showed me a unit which he renovated a year ago - very good after sales service (from what I have observed when the flat owner allowed him to bring customers to view the unit) & honest as well 2) AMDA Interior (Ambrose - ID) - recommended by friend - new company but Ambrose is not new to the industry. - the main con is that his company is not a HDB registered reno co 3) Aian (Alan - contractor) - recommended by renotalk members - provided the lowest quote - have heard & read a mix of reviews about him
