  1. your 3 rooms all got furnitures? 54k including rewiring the whole hosue and all? super ex imho...
  2. i just paid deposit for a fabric sofa. i have 1 big and 1 small dog lol hope they dont mess it up. Reason for fabric is because it is not easy to tear (according to many shops) Coolinga and good touch removable covers to wash compare with leather, if the leather got hole den jialet liao lol cus i see a few cases they stick tapes... and it is very very warm if i put in living room without air con!
  3. omg! good read! but u made me angry because u posted after my reno almost completed! hehehe thumps up! btw abc.. Over the last weekend, I went to the Expo Hall at Changi. It was a hot hot day! Singapore hot weather is back, huh? I always find that Singapore is one of the best country to stay in, except it is just too BLXXDY hot. When I was a child, I always day-dream that our government will build a dome-like covering over our tiny island. That can protect against foreign invasion; that can also protect against ozone cancerous stuff. i think alot of ppl have this dome thing... lol fully air conditioned too! hehehe my friends also said the same thing haha
  4. hmm.. my id did my house... 2 bathrooms + toilet. 11k. kitchen is painting only. toilet cement screeding.
  5. haha i would think the same too. TS post on 21Aug, you join on 22Aug and says hes not bad... no offense but it sets ppl worrying. but dont get so worked up... afterall this is internet world... all sorts of ppl out here hehe
  6. yea im also considering fabric sofa... i was thinking to custom make it lol. i saw at the show room 4seater 1.6k after discount but i wan a daybed so my dogs can sit with me also lol. question is im worried the fabric will be damaged by my dogs...
  7. yalor. I also din expect to be so bad. i will let you know once my house is completed. I dont think its good to do so at the moment since it has not been completed. and hopefully it is done well so i dont have to pm u
  8. hi! im new to this forums as well. abit late. citydesign is currently doing my house before i found out about this forums. anyway, on personal level, recommended by a friend to engage them. Was pretty much in a rush, checked 2 other quotes was way out of budget. Their design concept seems much nicer than others and my wife was quite attracted to his design. So we signed the contract. Was quite expensive to start off with ALTHOUGH there were others more expensive. But when i made comparions and asked why is it, he said different type of materials used and labour cost is required for my work. I wont be giving out much details as of now since mine is still under renovation. Alot of things which i asked the designer to quote together with was not included. When we signed, it was too late. Eg. plastering of whole house. When we were in our first disccusion he said it would be included. But to my horror it wasnt. Well trusting someone too early is my own fault. No choice i had to pay for it. there was already some delays and HDB approval was the *cause* in delay of starting work. I went up to my flat to see the works. I feel the floor is not very even. The colors of the tiles was not what it looked like maybe because of the dust. There was alot of "changes" made which i felt was to cut his own cost at my benefits. Honestly i wasnt quite happy with the service. Anyway, just check out their quotation first. From what i read from the forums last week, seems there are alot better ID firms out there. Maybe wait till my flat is completed before i give out more details or possible to even take pictures for u guys. For now... i just hope my flat is properly done which im quite worried about. anyway estimated date of completion is in mid sept...
