  1. Previously when contact with some contractors, Some of them mention, they will construct concrete support for basin. But my contractor will not construct this for us. Is this concrete support necessary? Would the cabinet hold the solid surface plus cooker etc? Mine is about 13ft long kitchen cabinet with solid surface top. Is it durable without concrete support for basin area?
  2. We got it at 3499$ from Marina for Missuri King. Including mattress protector, bedline, 2 pillows & a bench. We don't have the sheep... as it claimed already to be a best offer that time... Bought it about 2 weeks ago.
  3. Went down to Hong Tar Today, and got some more recommendation on Fujisu & Mitsubishi Heavy industry Both about 2600+, and have some more functions like Ionizer, or self dry function .. Seems attractive too... Really hard to choose the model... Any recommendation?
  4. Seen many ppl recommended Hong Tar, and got a quote from them. Mitsubishi Electric: MXY-3A28 @2850 Daikin: 3MKD75 (the one with R22 gas) @ 2900 3MKS71 (the one with 410 Gas- the new type of gas) @ 3300 My contractor has some partenered technician quote us 2650$. Didn't discuss with the details, but I guess maybe is Mitsubishi Heavy & Daikin R22 Think to take from Hong Tar, but not sure which one to take... Is the 410Gas worth so much difference? and brand wise, which one is better? Your advice is needed... Forgot to add, in Hong Tar's quote, the installation would be on - 1/2 inch whatever... (not get what's that, seems is a kind of standard for piping) - 16mm (also didn't get the detail, but the number is 16mm) - copper 23 (a copper standard, heard got 24 also, but 23 is better than 24) It seems Hong Tar use the best quality accessaries for installation. Other than that, 5 yr compressor warranty, 1 yr workmanship & spare parts warranty. Can't reach the technician which my contractor recommended... Although he quoted us quite cheap, but I have a feeling, later if got anything goes wrong, we couldn't reach him...
  5. It's quite good... and we like it too... But due to bugget constraint, we bought Serta Missuri King in the end. Price wise the shop seems not so feasible... I did search, seems they increase the size since June time... The sales in Marina agreed to give us 3400+ forgot the detailed figure with freebies... about 200$ less than the price shown in the promotion list there.
  6. This is good idea. Everyday i went down... some little work is done... But i feel for 3 ppl to do so little work in a day is a bit slow... But I don't dare to push too much... later they hurry in work without paying much attention to quality...
  7. Have been renoing for amost 3 full weeks, but progress seems little... Mine is 4A HDB, 90sqm. Reno starts on 20th Oct. First week: remove laminated flooring and hacking toilet & kitchen (wall & floor) 2nd week until now (almost 3 week): - Kitchen wall tiles finished. - Common toilet wall tiles 95% finished - Master toilet wall tile 80% finished. - Store room flooring layed. And that's all... Is it consider as normal?
  8. Painting seems a good idea... i was thinking to have things like L-box for the celling on cabinet part... So it makes the entrance brighter. ^^ How long does your ID suggest you? the indepts for my living room is 3.6m, and was thinking to make the TVconsole cum shoe cabinet about 1.8m long...
  9. Thanks Colorful... Yup ... That's what we are looking for... but i think i may have to think about some other way, maybe lights on top, or frossed glass? to make the board which hangs TV to have some pattern... otherwise when comes in from main entrance, the passage way may look very dark & narrow
  10. Thinking of modern style... not much built in to save $$... The length from maindoor (when it's fully opened) to end of bomb shelter is about 1.2m. was thinking to put a hidden shoe full height cabinet, but is too narrow... and cabinet itself also takes space... But then when come in, will see the sofa directly, seems no good in fengshui... initially thinking of puting crystal curtain on top of shoe cabinet and act as 玄关? not sure whether this is the correct term... just to hide things in the living room, so that cannot see the whole living room from main door directly... We never think of puting the sofa against bedroom 3 wall... But it seems a good idea... that way, we can buy a bigger sofa too... but TV's back side to be face main door doesn't looks nice... and integrated to the built-in tv console may make the entrance looks crowded & blocked? Anybody done in this way? any pictures?
  11. It is in tPY. good location... the only thing I don't like is the corridor unit for my flat... living room & room 3 facing corridor... No feature wall for TV, was thinking painting a different color... What color is appropriate? The rest of the wall i will be painting in white shade... The sofa & coffee table will occupy the whole living room. Shoe cabinet cannot lay beside bomb shelter, there is only about 10cm over there. Shoe cabinet will situated on the left side of the main door. As shown in the picture... was thinking to put dining table in kitchen, but a bit crowded there too...
  12. Yup... Don't anyhow print odd color, it will make your look house weired...
  13. Bigger image size... Seems have to click to view the bigger size... Not sure how other forumers did to show the big size image directly Bigger Image
  14. Yup... main door beside bomb shelter Not sure whether this time posted the bigger image...
  15. We have a hard time of fitting our dining table... anybody has good idea or suggestion? The length of sofa and shoe cabinet also give us a hard time ... We want to put sofa behind shoe cabinet, and shoe cabinet beside main door...
