While going thru the process of comparing quotation. I run into this RADAC registered reno firm call ACE-MEN RENOVATION @ along upper serangoon rd that stretch. I got a quotation for kitchen @$1899 for 20ft kitchen cabinet with solid surface and handle for kitchen cabinet. Workmanship wise i dunno liao coz i didn't choose them for my reno work. Maybe u could ask them yourself. Ace-men renovation: 6396-5155

But the tiles there look 'orbiang'. must as well hack it off. Giving the house a new look, new feel. Anyway the masonry work is kicking off soon.

Did you come across any good plumber with reasonable price that change the kitchen sink outlet piping and redo back the concrete and tiling. Dunno how they charge leh, anyone knows

hi martian55, do u have a breakdown list? Easier to see whether it is reasonable anot. Tiling 1. But don't forget one thing. U choose white horse brand (consider branded liao) 2. Definitely would be more expensive than other china tiles. Furthermore i didn't see any waterproofing and cement screed anywhere. 3. Are u sure u want to use homogenous tiles for kitchen and toilets floor and wall? Normally ppl use ceramic tiles for kitchen and toilet, easier to maintain. kitchen cabinet 1. Then u are using back the original kitchen cabinet ah. Coz i didn't see any installation work or dismantling work for kitchen cabinet. Doors 1.Your contractor very professional leh. No need to dismantle door also can do tiling for your toilet and kitchen. L-Box I see u mention abt hacking away the L-box.... Does your contractor rewire your whole house? Do they redo a new L-box for u? They does it FOC ah.

I could understand that kitchen sink cannot face directly at stove. Fire clash with water in term of element. But why kitchen cannot have red color. I intend to use red color for my kitchen cabinet leh. Anyone knows why? Pls enlighten me..

All i can say is, Ask your some question: "Is the price they quote within your budget?" "If yes, Are you comfortable with the price they quote you?" "If yes, Do you feel comfortable with that ID? (In term of communication)" "If no,Compare quotation of different ID and contractor" I dun want to badmouth any ID company, just that....there's too many loophole for them to play around with.One thing for sure. Your Quotation have not been finalise. Just check your quotation item carefully.

Before signing the agreement everything can agree. After signing the agreement, Not enough budget la blah blah.. When i ask him that i want pergo or vohringer rather than supreme for my laminate flooring. He say too ex. not enough budget and so on. He quote me $3K on laminate and a lump sum to hack my skirting. When i check out with vohringer and pergo price, they are willing to give me a better price near to 3k (sorry can't disclose the amount, can only say very very near to 3k). When i show my ID the quotation, he still say expensive. Keep telling me not enough budget for this and that. They can't kept thinking of earning extra of us mah. Not fair to us consumer!! See how he deal with it later.

I check out other town council plumber number. They are using the same person. For kitchen it's cheaper. But for toilet they need to hack the wall then can remove the piping so it much more expensive. So $750 is correct.
