Hi Zhiz Will you be able to share with me her costing for carpentry? like cost pfr for wardrobe, painting etc. PM me ok. thanks in advance
-
Hi zhiz I see that there is a time schedule, you mean your ID provide schedule one (I like), any comments on their carpentry work? I completed my renov already and I currently sourcing for good ID/contractor for my next house in 1.5 years times, don't want to make the same mistake again and wait till last minute and end up with poor quality. I am very particular about workmanship, space planning and delays in HO (definitely no no, will give them sufficient time to complete their work but HO deadline means HO deadline).

Hi William PM you already...was shifting over the weekend so was quite busy and don't have my internet connection. Cheers

wow. can't believe till I see your pictures. Really...I can't believe how to live in such circumstances. Totally understand how your girl feels...I also have a 8 years old girl and 4 years old boy and we also can't wait to move in...HO delay for 2 weeks plus only and I am fuming mad already..moreover I still have not HO my current place except that alot of things are packed into boxes and I can't find them... so you think your renovation will need how much more time? 2-3 months? Before Chinese New Year can finish or not? -

Oh I see. Normally ID will make about 20-25%? so a renovation of 30K will save about 6-8K but must wait for 3-6 months of renovation and vomit blood daily for 6 months? 1 month of blood = 1K. Hmmm... -

I really to you. Renovation take so long and you are still giving chance...For mine, delayed 2 weeks plus, I super upset already. I monitor everyday in the morning, if no workers, call to scold already. I was prepared to take back keys, get someone else to do the work and bill to them. Just wondering, if renovation take so long, where do you guys stay? rent or you have existing place not sold yet? -

What do you do if the align of the wardrobe is out? behind is longer than front by about 8 cm? i.e. the width infront is 90 cm but behind is 98cm. What is the possible cause / causes? Do I ask they to tear down the whole wardrobe and redo, but the wardrobe is sealed already (they have put in the white thingy). Will it look strange if I leave it? Hubby is suggesting that we leave it as unfortunately time is not on my side as I need them to HO to my latest by this Wed as I have other delivery on Thurs and my movers are moving stuff on Fri. -

Update...Kevin called us in the morning and visit site in afternoon to see the cracks....now feel better that he is back . Concluded that the rest of the designs no need to change as the laminate is different and thinner so will not crack....Ya....as I actually love the designs ....so now I am a HAPPY woman...hubby also not angry anymore... -

Hi Care - thanks for the comfort. Agree that at least he contactable and let us finish scolding him although not entirely his fault. His worker let him down as they do have some of the drawings and still wrong so have to bring back the stuff. Since he is back, let see what he say, I have also ask his worker to stop fabrication as we wanted to find out what are the problems and do not want to waste the laminate if this range is not suitable. Don't want them to lose money too. -

Not sure same or not as I did not go to the new place today. Did not expect to see lines as my current house I used Veneer, so no joint lines at all, but of course veneer have it own sets of problems. The only laminates we have is the study table and it was MBF/ABS so I can not see the joint lines so did not know, kind of shock and also against white which is more contrasting. If they apply the ABS thingy, acceptable to me. -

You also got things to check with him? must take Q-number lei...anyway since I not so urgent, let you cut-Q. How is the progress at your place, can move at month-end? If you are getting white gloss laminates, I think no problem as I saw 'beruang.ndut' kitchen cabinets, look nice without black joint line. -

For change of designs, since I am not in a hurry to move, I want to consult Kevin first. -

Winston has suggested that we change to the gloss laminate instead of the bubble bubble kind above as the one above might have weak points due to the design. He suggest MBF kind. -

Will post tomorrow as I can't remember the image website password. so you mean you see black joint lines? for white laminates....if I know than will not select white as the other brown laminate with the black joint lines not so bad. Aiyo my TV console also white... I saw your kitchen cabinet, like no black joint lines what? how come? -

Hi Stw9444 I think it depending on the design and laminate. For my display, Kevin's designs have some curve, I choose white laminate with cube bubble bubble kind. And when my hubby checked again this morning, there were some cracks, design flaw I think, so now must change design and Kevin not in town Ok, then we change the design....worst is all have curve so all need to change (from my platform bed to study cabinets to display cabinets) ....THEN they told hubby mirrors not big enough to cover my entire dining wall, so now last minute have to change design again. Hubby too upset and STOP the mirror delivery guy from coming as not sure what he is giving us. Although I mentioned that Winston come within 3 hrs, my hubby was jumping MAD.....Winston's suggestion is to use another type of white laminate and don't know what process so that we will not see black joint lines on white laminate. will have to wait and see next week. -

Winston came within 3 hrs to see our complains and issues that we have...will have to give them some time to see if they can rectify all the problems. -

They just finished my altar table, not very impress with the workmanship as the joint lines are very obvious and wide. Does any previous owner who use them have such problem? Have feedback to them as I am very worry now as I am only doing mostly carpentary work and if all like that, then die la. For those who used white laminates, is the joint line black in colour? so ugly !! -
