No recommendations for u because we only went to one shop call Jim*y Te*tile and got very lousy after sales service. First time we went on a weekend, which was very crowded. The staff didn't really help much and left us to ourselves. The price the quote is competitive, but other than that... nothing much nice to say about them. Very "hang up and sell" in my opinion. No wonder they are in this "line". No one recommend any fabric to us. The guy who supposedly serve us just left us alone and tend to another couple. Dunno is it we never do enough curtains and the other one do a lot, so focus all the time on them. Simple "bo chup" us like that. I was kinda pissed. Then I thought, never mind, give them another chance, maybe really very busy on weekends.. I go back another day, weekday this time. I ask them to show me fabrics, they like "ai mai ai mai". Then push me back to the previous guy who serve us. Halfway through I ask him if he recorded my previous selection for the living room. He say he didn't jot down!!! Sibei DL. Choose liao never write. Lucky I still remember which colour and fabric but another part I forgot. Then wanna install the curtains, I change the day cos got something, then he refuse to tell me a timing, cos he say d installation guys schedule he duno have, but how come on that day I confirm the fabrics he can immediately flip through a book and jot down the schedule? Simply too lazy to move his arse to look for the schedule in my opinion. And he say can only confirm the timing with me the day before. Well, well, the timing he gave sucks. then the person say is I choose the timing... I sibei "hot". I wasn't given any choice at all about the timing. If u can stand the lousy service they offer.... well, they are quite competitive in terms of pricing... but other than that... NOTHING GOOD about them.

Onz! I wait! Maybe ur house warming then play haha.... Kidding lah... Guess you have decided to change the air conditioning afterall...hope everything goes smoothly for you!

Nice place with nice condition and nice pricing! When can go to your place and play Winning 11 together? Anyway, is there no existing air conditioning? If have then wait till spoil then change lor...your budget can readjust le mah...dun have then no choice...but I heard cutting the false ceiling shld not be a prob to fix back nicely one lah...your ID muz be good lor...

I think over the weekends I saw there is a full leather 3+2 seater going for 19XX (forgot price sorry...). The back rest can be adjusted...looks not bad... Univonna is a good place to look for nice sofas too! Happy shopping!

I bought the decals from the same seller u did too, rdnest. But I used another spree organiser. I tink she is slightly lower in terms of agent fee charges, but gotto share the shipping cost from China to Sg with other spree-ers. I too lazy to start a t-blog. I tink i saw ur post over at SingaporeBrides in the housing threads.. In fact, we actually have been holding onto the keys for like more than half a year till now then start looking at renovation. We **** lazy.. Plus we waiting for prices to drop.

rdnest, I wanna scold u for recommending the taobao wall decals in ur blog. U make ur house looks so nice it makes me wanna buy so many wall decals, now i wonder where i gonna put. Hahaha... jokes aside, I wanna thank u for showing me all the lovely pictures of ur hse. From zero to fine detailed personalised home. I like the transformation. Hopefully we can find an ID who's responsible and can tailor a nice place my hubby and I can call home.

Yesterday I went to Modern Living 2009 at Expo. Went pretty late and only talked to 2 ID firms. One of them was Image. They came to us and offered to show us the things they have. Their "walkthrough" then talked about the house designing stuff. Both my hubby and I quite impress with the design. The ID said he would take about 4 days to come up with a 2-D plan for us plus the quotation. When I get a call back from them, I update here. Pinkky, maybe u can drop by Expo there to chat face-to-face with them? Faster I suppose.

Can I ask 2 silly questions? First question was that, the second question is is the I-Deal House ID the same as www.idealhouse.com.sg ? Kinda confused by the hyphen. I don't wanna get mixed up if there's really two different ID. Recently, there were some reports that this furniture shop which has a very similar name to a well-known furniture shop. But in fact, its like the "imitation" and made a bad name for itself by "closing down the shop" after a few months and then "re-open" again in another name, rendering those home-owners who placed deposits to get furniture with the previous shop with no furniture and poorer pockets after making payment and not recieving the goods. Made me so scare of getting the wrong names and shops now.
