  1. Hi Phylux, Would you be able to provide the options that you have and also prices for ultra slim LED downlights? What are the heights for your ultra slim LED downlights? Also, I intend to do cove lighting in the bedrooms as well. What options do you have to do this? Thank you.
  2. Hi, Am interested in the Neato XV-11 robot vacuum cleaner. Anyone has any experience with it? How does it fare against the iRobot Roomba 780? Thanks! tj
  3. Managed to find one. Its at Bonjour-Odyssey. Google them. Its not on their website, but its in their showroom. In fact, lightings.com.sg also has, you just need to search in their website. They even have the price. Philips ledino series also have.
  4. Hi everyone, Am looking for this kind of LED pendant light or any LED pendant light that is similar to it. Anyone knows where to find in Singapore? And how much it retails at? Thanks! tj
  5. Hi joshdes, Did you know if the roof had any insulation under it? Or was it bare metal like mine? Thanks!
  6. Hi everyone, Am currently doing reno to my unit which is at the highest floor. Wife and I really like the high ceiling, however, the roof is just above us. We know this as the contractors opened up the false ceiling and revealed that the roof of the building is right above. We also realised that the metal roof does not have any insulation. It is just a bare metal roofing. There is a gap of air between the metal roof and our home's false ceiling. Just want to ask those with this experience whether there is a need for us to do heat insulation on the roof? Or is the air gap between the metal roof and our false ceiling sufficient? If yes, do you know of any reliable specialist that is able to do this kind of work? In addition, we would be installing ceiling exhaust fans in 2 toilets. My contractor says it suffices for the air to be blown into the roof, and that there is no need to have the ventilated air blown outside the building. Is this acceptable especially in the long run? Am wondering where the ventilated air with moisture from the toilets is going to go when its in the roof? Thanks much! tj
  7. Hi Am undergoing reno now. Tiler has laid all the tiles, but only has 1 colour - white - to lay in the grouts. However, I understand that the grout colour can be the same as the tile colour. Where can grout colour be bought in Singapore? Does anyone know an address where to get? Thanks much! tj
  8. Hi JamisD, I would like to know the price and place where you bought it. Can PM me? Tks so much!
  9. Hi everyone, Am about to purchase a Yale digital lock. I also understand that it may not fit any door. What should I be looking at in order to ensure that the lock can be installed onto the door? Any clearance/distance I need to take note of? Thanks very much! tj
  10. Hi everyone! Have a few questions regarding railings for maisonette that I hope the gurus here can help me with? 1) Noticed that some of you actually remove the HDB railings and not replace with any other railings. I think this is a cool idea as it will really open up the space of the flat. Is this allowed by HDB? I.e. removing the railings and not installing any and keeping the staircase railing-free? 2) Any good railing contractors to recommend? Due to low budget, I will probably choose the cheapest materials, etc. Can PM me details of your railing contractors? Need to have low price. Thanks much!

  13. Hi all Am looking to remove my current wardrobe and install a new one in my master bedroom. The process is as follows: 1) Removal of current built-in wardrobe 2) Painting of exposed walls 3) Installation of new wardrobe As the process is likely to take days and will make the entire room dusty, is there a way to effectively partition the room and isolate the work area so that the rest of the master bedroom is still liveable? is there a way to minimise or prevent the dust from reaching the rest of the master bedroom and isolate it at just the work area? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Tks!
