the red bricks look ok leh. Was it done by HDB or the previous owner? Maybe u can take a photo from the balcony showing the tree branches.

hijacked christinetan's posting from angielim's t-blog. She changed her wall tiles by using DIY epoxy paint. The original colour is similiar to the flooring. U might wanna consider that and can pm her to find out more.

ya, one of the option is to change the bedroom nearest to common loo into MBR and then change the doorway for the existing MBR toilet to face the stairs. But all these options involve alot of $$$ . Since u have intention to stay only few years then make do with existing layouts. The tiles are ok but the stupid ID did fixed window louvers for me so I cant open my toilet windows. Wonder how much it cost to redo the windows inside MBR and common loo?

I shifted the doorway further out to in line with the exterior wall (see pic below). Why I regretted it ar? I think personal perference changed lor. I rather have a dry floor to go in just to wash my hands and brush my teeth. Anyway, I'm the only one complaining and I'm not even the one using the toilet. Hahaha.....my kids and my parents are ok with it. Btw, one of my neighbours in the same block converted the bedroom nearest to the common loo into a MBR. This is one of the option. Hmm.....if I were to do that, then I cld seal up the doorway for the common loo and make that into the shower area and entrance to the common loo (new MBR loo) wld be via the bedroom but then boh $.

Just like those who have the squarish balcony whereby the rubbish chute is nearest to the window and not in the kitchen. The architects deserved to be kick in the ***. I done up my shower area nearest to the door ie wet (shower), dry (sink), dry (wc) configuration and now I'm regretting. I should have done it dry (sink), wet (shower), dry (wc) instead but during that time, didnt like the idea of dry, wet, dry configuration. must kena TOTO then I wanna re-renovate my place

then what about your friend? He/she bought new HDB wif 30k grant too? U might want interrogate him further cos he got all the facts wrong. Only got 30k grant if buying EC and definitely no grant for new HDB flat otherwise there wont be any values for resale flats as all wld wanna get a subsidized HDB flat plus housing grant.

yup your side under thunder cos there aint many EMs under hammer. oh....luckily got lift upgrading so just nice. I bought below valuation cos need to overhaul the whole **** place. Did everything except staircase railings.

good buy . Me already enjoyed the 50k grant for my previous 4room so EM boh grant liao. I bought at 310k back in mid 2005. My side boh upgrading la.....gotta wait long long hor cos hammer strong strong leh. But not too bad la cos I think my S & C charges are slightly cheaper compared to other exec flats in other town councils. Anyway, the lift starts from 4th floor onwards so those on 2nd floor gotta do leg exercises everyday. Ur EM at which level?

Avenue 8 got many EMs, mostly with the squarish balcony aka yard. asked u about the COV cos I confused liao. Too many EM owners out of a sudden. I mistaken u as WelcomeHome who just bought a EM at Serangoon North for 25k COV. So sorri....me very lousy co-ordinator... yup, back in 1997...EM prices ranges from 450k onwards. I nearly bought one for 480k. Luckily I didnt otherwise sure make a huge lost as one unit from that block just sold for a mere 400k which is considered quite high liao but then, maybe next few months can see higher resale prices.

as long as in good and move in condition then better to save the $. U paid $20k above valuation right?

They merely need to apply for HDB approval. I also did that so now I got 3 toilets to wash, 3 toilet for all family members to bathe as installed instant heater for all 3.

wow, u installed Mit inverter system 4. So what's the electrical loading for your block? Already upgraded? what's the BTU configuration for your 4 units?
