  1. Hi Applefreak, Thinking of getting the Metra 9 sink from Blanco (Hoe Kee) as well. Not sure how long you have been using the sink but how is your experience with your kitchen sink? Thanks.
  2. Hi delonchew, Love the look of your sink. I am contemplating getting a granite sink and am is wondering how is the blanco sink holding up? Is it as good as it sets itself up to be? I thinking of a greystone one and have seen postings that white or light coloured ones will discolour (and it is only after a yr of usesage!). Have read that it is stain resistent to even red wine. Any comments much appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Hey hey, Have been reading the postings and I am also thinking of getting a granite sink from Blanco (hoe kee selling Metra 9 at $399). Questions are: 1. Anyone with bad experience using granite sinks (Blanco, or any other brands); 2. Recommendations on brands for granite sinks; 3. Good deals on sink (stainless steel or granite) and tap mixers. Thanks!!
  4. Hey I noted that someone had asked about Alvin from Fuse. Yes, I am also interested in knowing on the experience of working with Alvin. Thanks!
  5. Oh, one other thing. I tried looking up Colours but cannot seem to find it online. Do u mind sharing the contact of Colours? Thanks. I can be contacted at: renee_goh@hotmail.com
  6. Hey Thanks for the contacts!!! I have contacted classicideas/Elvani Cucine and the px quoted is higher than what my ID id offering. But the slight diff is that Elvani is offering some in-built baskets that my ID is not. Both offering me blum soft hinges and same finishing.... : )
  7. [color=#6600CC]Hi 123abc, Read ur post and your comment on Ikea kitchen solution caught my attention. I was contemplating doing my kitchen cabinets with Ikea but I am still not sure if the quality is as good as Ikea puts it to be as Ikea has a 25-yr warranty backing their cabinets. Question to anyone who has experience dealing with Ikea and/or is using their cabinets, I would really like to hear from them. I have also spoken to a few kitchen cabinets specialist like Song-Cho and Ernest Interior/Kitchen Studio, as well as, an ID firm. Their quote ranges from above $13k to $20k. Ikea so far comes out to the cheapest so far and I am getting all the stuff the ID firm quotes but with soft stuff like trays and dividers quoted in the cost by Ikea. Plus Ikea too uses the Blum hinge system which I understand kitchen cabinet contractors typically quote a premium for. Thanks a bunch!
  8. Hi folks, I am thinking of reno-ing my kitchen and have contemplated a few options. To go with an kitchen specialist (option that comes with the highest px tag so far), with an ID firm (mid- range px), or through Ikea (with installation done by Ikea and it is the cheapest option so far). Have spoken to Song-Cho, Ernest Interior/Kitchen Studio and Fuse Concept for my kitchen needs. These firms all have their strengths in their proposal but I do have a budget to work. But, although budget may be an issue, I am open to paying more if I am getting value for money good grade cabinets. Ikea offers a 25-yr warranty on their cabinets but I know that their cabinets are made of particleboards and not sure how they stand up to the humidity of Sg. Are their cabinets really that good for a firm to offer a 25 yr warranty. Most firms are willing to offer a 1 -2 yr warranty on their cabinets. Would welcome any thoughts on any of the above options. Thanks a bunch!!
