I was thinking of that arrangement too, but gave up that idea cos I think it'll block the light and the dining area will be dark. kchaw have you started t-blog? looking forward to see your reno.

Nice 3d. I'm planning to do the ceiling something like urs. Will the fan too close to the cove light?

hello ur blog is really helpful. Do you use storage heater for ur rain shower? I'm starting reno soon don't want to invest on a rain shower if only "dripping" water.

Wow a lot of walls to go down. I notice you changed your original design of settee in bedroom 2 & 3 to storage cabinet? Any special reason?

Regarding the box up of toilet sewer pipes, some ID suggest box up using calcium silicate; Some suggest the top sewer pipe can box up using cabinet, the 2 verticle pipe cannot box up. Which is the better way and what is calcium silicate by the way?

hehe... bingo! kchaw are you renovating your place also? I've been wondering how the others place their furnitures with the same layout.

Anyther question, intended to do seatee or looks like somekind of bay window. Is it practical to do seatee with storage at the window? Current depth below the window is 30cm, with the seatee probably another 50cm? 80 cm is kind of deep to reach right? What's the shortest seatee that can be done?

Can any kind soul enlighten me how to conceal the ugly vertical sewer pipe & is it practical to do so?

Collected few years ago lol. It's not bad when we move in so didn't do any reno. Need to move out before reno start. Actually flooring is the main concern cos the current white ceramic flooring with black cement grout. Looks dirty to me. Let see if out of my budget maybe I'll consider just overlay laminate on it. But it might not be the best solution 'cos got child at home always spill something on the floor. Going to meet up with ID next week. So exciting

Hmm... the curve window is a full length window till the floor. Kind of waste the view and block the lights if place the sofa/settee there right? If switch between the window and 4500mm wall that will be perfect! (Too bad I can't change that lol). I'll try to post some pictures of the current condition these few days.

Wow Minerat you are rich! I must open my eyes big big when coming to the terms & conditions or else i'll end up bankrupt. lol Ok thanks for the advice. Still sounds achievable at least don't need to sell axx. haha...

Thank you thank you. One headache of the layout is that don't know what's the best way to place the sofa, currently it's facing the 4500mm wall so we have to turn all the way back when there's somebody at the main door.

Nice reno you have, Your 50k is it excluding things like toilet bowls, bathroom/kitchen fittings and lightings etc.? Which mean have to factor in another 5-10k for all these right? Hmm for me, 30k – still can fork out comfortably 40k – Need to tighen my waist a bit 50k – Need to get a loan 70k – got to ask my husband to sell his axx already. lol
