  2. Hi SolutionProvider, I had tried many ways to scrub, mop etc.. and i even tried brands like Mr Muscle and some grout cleaners and the black stains still does not go away...
  3. Hi guys, I just had shifted into my new place 6 months ago and the grout between the homogenous tile turned black. Is anyone of you facing similar problems? Any one of you can advise how to clean the grouts between the tiles? Thanks
  4. Hi Guys, Any idea how to do a proper cleaning of the floor strips (in between tiles)? I just stayed into my new place 6 months ago and now the floor strips are BLACK...while are still white.. Any good suggestions of how to maintain the strips? I am using homogenous tiles though and i was told some detergents will remove the shine on the tiles (which i don't want to). My contractor told me that the floor strips will eventually turn black no matter how hard we try to clean it..Is this true? I tried using a brush to brush it off.. and yes, some dirt can be removed and then after 1 week, the strip turned black again and it fustrates me... Can anyone recommend me a good way to clean / prevent blackening of the floor strips? Or if you are also encountering the same problem as I am..do give your comments...Also, any good detergents to use? I was told Walsh is a good brand. Anyone tried and comments? I am using detrol brand.. which is obviously useless to clean the floor...hiaz

  9. Hi Greenspeace, I am using the original toilet bowls for both master and common toilet. HDB upgraded mine 5 years ago and the previous owner kept it well. The flushing system is ok for both. Hence, hubby and I didnt reno on the 2 toilets. Everything was original. But its up to individual preference. Some say that its unhygenic to use old ones. But we will wash it before using when we shift in.
  10. hi shkeat, pls pm me no to mover 168 as well. I only have the following things to shift. 1 queen sized bed 1 32' TV maybe 30 boxes
  11. I am also looking for some ideas. Anyone can post some pics of the blinds, curtains used would be appreciated.
  12. Hi Leen, Good to hear your thumbs up on Jimmy. I will be calling him to check out :0 We need to check out some kitchen sink fast too.. Now I have some considerations on my reno. Initially, hubby and I told ID that we intend to have a built in oven. Hiaz...now coming to think of it.. my kitchen is rather small because we seperated the kitchen to (wet and dry). If we install the oven, of course it would look nice...it might take up more space. and again how often will we be using...sian... now considering to buy or not to buy...sigh
  13. Hi praisey, Thanks for sharing. Are they good? I went to their website and seems that they have many testimonials. Anything to look out for (i.e: things to take note on)?
  14. Hi Smallboy, yes i heard about them too. How much are they charging you? They are coming to my place on next monday to access the things I gonna shift.
  15. Hi Enivi, I bought all my clipsal c-metro switches - grey with blue LED from Choo Siang. They are the cheapest so far. Yes, they have up to 4 gang. But i only bought 1, 2 and 3 gang switches cos i prefer bigger flaps. I went to their branch at Verasamy road.
  16. Hi, Anyone has any movers that are good to recommend? How much does a mover charge?
  17. Hi Lawry, Thanks for all your info. Mind to PM me the contact for Jimmy Movers if you still have? My ID is going to paint the switch boxes the same colour of my walls. Hence, I think it should look ok. Now I have another diliema...the OVEN!!! WOnder if I should get or not since I might not be using it often as my job is rather hectic....hiaz...
  18. Hi forummers , anyone has any movers to recommend? I head alot of Jimmy Movers. Does anyone have the contact and has anyone used them before? Is their charge reasonable? Pls give your comments.
  19. Hi Lawry, Nice talking to you. I went to Choo Chiang at Toh Guan early this morning. My goodness, their prices are so different from the place I went to at balastier. It is $300 cheaper!!!! However, I am looking for vertical switches which they do not carry. Hence, I have to call again and check (c-metro) if they do carry them tomorrow in their other branches. Since IMM is so near to Choo Siang, hubby and I decided to take a look at the franke sinks at Asia Excel. Yes, their service seems ok and the guy is friendly too. They have a package for kitchen sink and tap at $400+ which I am seriously considering. But I have to confirm with ID to see if the size is alright because the sink measures 840 X 510 X 210..However, the guy told me that the sink is manufactured by Franke plant in China too.. hence not sure if its good... Also, i realised you used Jimmy Movers. How much did they charge you for shifting?? I am looking for a reliable mover too. What is your feedback on them?
  20. Hi Lawry, Thanks for your info. I went to a shop in Jln Besar today with hubby and sells only Clipsal switches. GUESS WHAT?? The fella quoted me at $900....on the c-metro switches. When I heard the price, i almost fainted. It is so ex!!!! The sales fella also told me that once the LED blow, I have to get the switches replaced. Anyway, I am going to check out the prices at Choo Siang at their Toh Guan branch. You said you got the default from your ID. What series is that? Also, i realised you went to Asia Excel @ IMM to get your sink and taps. What brand did you purchased? I was told that some china brands are not good. I am considering a brand called "Franke". Have you heard about them?
  21. Hi all, I have some queries...some frends told me that the kitchen sink they purchased from Poh Joo has got some "rainbow colourings" after some wash and the sink turned cloudy as well. Is there a sink that is of better quality to recommend? I also have some concerns over white laminated kitchen cabinets though it look really nice and classy. My mum cooks daily, hence does it really turn yellow after a long run (expecially the top cabinets). Can you guys share some of the pics you had for your kitchen cabinets?? Lastly, does anyone has any good movers to recommend and how much do they charge?
  22. Hi Hi, Do you have the address that you bought your clipsal from Choo Siang? Can you PM me? How much did you paid for? I am looking at the C-Metro series. Those that are grey and with LED lighting cos my folks are staying with us. Better for them.
  23. Hello Saw your new hse reno and its really nice. Can you advise where you got your lightings from? Is it expensive?
  24. Hi Hi, thanks but i got my ceiling fan already. It is KDK white colour with no lights. Now I am having a headache on my lightings... cos i dun wish to have the shadow effect.
