Hi shkeat, thanks for the effort. Wait for your reply.

Hi, like to check with pple who run their aircon piping within their false ceiling. Is the piping usually left exposed on top of the false ceiling, or will they run trunking inside the false ceiling too? My aircon installer just left it on top of the existing false ceiling, say this is usual practise? Will this not run the risk of condensation, hence water stains on false ceiling? Any advise appreciated. Thanks.

Hi shkeat, mind pm me the contacts for Mover 168? Am looking for movers, and are getting quotations abv S$300 from Shalom and Elite for: TV console x1 L-shaped sofa x1 Daybed x1 Chest of drawers x1 Water feature x1 Papasan chair x1 Cartons maybe 60? (I'm using own cartons from my workplace, so no need cartons fm movers. The cartons are all standard size.) The quotations were given via email, do we have to request for on-site quotation? I didn't think I have that many things to move. It should all easily fit into 1 load. I'm moving from a 4-rm flat.

Thank you. It's in Toh Guan, near IMM. The toilets are included in the package, so I don't have a price just for it. But we topped up a bit for the MBR feature tiles though, but not sure amount... Yah, but a bit wasted is that the toilet bowl is gonna be right in front of it.

Hi mitlancer71, we're the couple with Lynn at IH on Tuesday night. After you left Lynn told us your place is Punggol so I figured is you. -
An update for those interested. This is the supplier in Singapore: Series Supplies. Those dividers are called Grille Panels. But according to my ID, because is MDF(mid-density fibre) board, it will be damaged if come into contact with water. Anyone with these panels in your place can comment? Why I'm looking for such panels instead of using decorative glass or roller curtains, is because we want to obscure direct view, but still allow breeze from corridor to get into the house when front door is opened.

Something that I like, the washer base - Noticed how the corners are rounded? Really like this consideration.

Some updates. Tiling finished last week, here's some pics to show: Kitchen feature wall - This is the wall between the kitchen door and service balcony door. The rest of the kitchen is plain white tiles. Common toilet, and the tiles up close - MBR toilet - This is sorta like the feature wall for this toilet. The other sides and floor is not black, but another tile to match. These tiles are expensive lah, plus got concern abt watermarks later, so only do 1 side.

Hi PinkyX, your floorplan upside down leh? Just went my place today for the aircon dismantling. Tiling almost done, so should be able to get some pics up this weekend. Think your handover might be earlier given your progress. My carpentry design still yet to confirm, we're meeting with ID again this week to finalise.

Hi rolexboy, hope you're feeling better. Thanks for checking it out. Can I know if the plastic was originally covered all the way to the back, or is as photographed? Cos my rooms gonna be colored, not white, so it will be very obvious if the paint got on the white blower. BTW, I'm using CCK GainCity too.

Hi Pinky X, your t-blog up too, great! My tiling almost finish, left kitchen and common toilet. Should finish by next week, upload my tiling pics then. Your common toilet wall tiles hor, I used 1 column as feature in my kitchen.

Thanks rolexboy. Let me know.

Like to check regarding "2 trips". We've ordered with GainCity and they have 2 trips installation. Called them up to arrange for dismantle old aircon and install trunking. But they say 1st trip is dismantle only, 2nd trip then lay trunking and install aircon. If we want to dismantle and install trunking first (irregardless is on same day), then install aircon units later, is considered 3 trips and we have to pay extra S$80. Is this the usual practise? If trunking and installation is to be done at the same time, should it be done b4 or after painting of house? We are painting color walls. ID suggested either: Install first, just get them to wrap up the aircon unit for protection, but my hubby concerned that painting around the aircon unit will be tough and not nice if not up to aircon (i.e. got white rim around aircon). I'm concerned that the plastic later cannot remove completely, you know where they stuck in between, so will be unsightly.Paint first, then install, and will get painter to do the trunking on final paint touch up. Then husband concerned that the paint color not even between trunking and walls... Any advise on which is better option? Thanks.

Hi Pete, thanks. I almost couldn't find the color in the catalog, it looks way different from the color shown inside. I would have thought it too dark if I didn't see your pic... But maybe after another 2 coats of paint it will look nearer to catalog's color? Do keep us posted on your painting. My ID MIA past couple of days, SMS no reply... -

Hi Pete, sidetrack a bit. What is the color you used for this wall? Am trying to find a good shade of purple, but u know painted looks different from color shown in catalog. Anyone has advise how to get around this problem?? -
Yah. Today just went, nothing much to see cos still doing floor tiling. But noticed a chip off a corner of the Jigsaw design. ID took note to patch it back.

mitlancer71, thanks for the update. Good to know their carpentry works ok. Progress on my reno will be in my t-blog. Nothing much this mth except tiling. Carpentry works will start next mth. -
applefreak! reading lawry's t-blog is SO TRAUMAUTISING! He needs to put up warning for newbies reading. Ok, I'm seriously gonna go after my ID for specific drawings with measurements, and documentation of stuffs in B&W. Dunno abt the scottish fold is it munchkin, but I know someone with cream tabby Munchkin which somehow has a bit folded ears even though it's not suppose to be a scottish fold cross. His cat is quite famous, and his photos are wonderful. But I know who lawry's friend with the cute fluffy LH Munchkin is.

Hi mitlancer, can update us on the carpentry? I didn't get to view their carpentry b4 start work, only tiling. Cos Lynn say designs may not be what we like, but I thought main purpose is to see workmanship... If design same then we're living in cookie cutter Ideal Hse design flats already... -
