  1. Mahjong table top is made of felt. Suede leather is basically split leather with the surface buff to a smooth finish and dyed over it can be quite rough. In the market there is a lot of fabric called microsuede,it is quite soft to the touch.
  2. Based on the pictures you posted, it is very apparent that your sofa was made with PU leather, if your order says genuine leather then you have a case. If not, then very difficult because synthetic leather is still considered leather.
  3. Hmm..., I don't this answer is accurate. Basically, Aniline leather is leather that is very lightly treated, the hide is cured to prevent decomposition and then dyed to a specific colour using an Aniline dye, therefore it is call Aniline leather. Aniline leather is very hard to maintain because the surface is not protected with any pigment and therefore scratches very easily. Nubuck leather is Aniline leather but the surface has been buffed off to make it feel even softer.
  4. That's a pretty good price.
  5. Why don't you scan your order and put it online, so that others can see what the order was for.
  6. A high end marble table will cost more than $10K. A cheap marble table will maybe cost $800. When you shop at Air or other high end shops you must be prepared to pay their prices. You are paying for design and brand on top of material cost.
  7. Hi Bunny, Why don't you start a thread for SY Living?
  8. If the leather on the seat is exactly the same as the back then it is not even half leather.
  9. It is definitely synthetic because in a genuine leather sofa the back panels will not be a large piece of material. For genuine leather sofas manufacturers need to join the leather panels to reduce cost. Only synthetic leather sofas will have large panels as shown in the picture.
  10. With your budget, you may want to consider a fabric sofa instead. You will probably end up with a better quality set.
  11. Buying a fake designer chair is like buying a fake designer bag. Why would you want to do it?
  12. Does top grain entry level bovine leather = Corrected Grain Buffalo Hide, 0.9mm- 1.1m thick?
  13. One of the ways is to look at the sofa, if the panels are very large, most likely synthetic because genuine leather is constrained by the size of the hide. The other way is to look for irregular markings, good quality cowhide will usually have some irregular markings because real leather is a natural products and is not 100% consistent. If you post a picture sometimes we can figure it out by looking at the image.
  14. I have a fabric sofas from OM, I have used it for 1 and a half years, so far no complaints.
  15. Hi Hotstuff, Why don't you just post the contact on this thread?
  16. The 80/20 rule also known as the Pareto rule states that you do 80% of your business with 20% of your customers. Which is highly unlikely since you are in the retail business.
  17. Hi Bird, Don't worry about it $499 is a very good price, if you can use the item for 2 years it's still value for money.
  18. Hi Mr. Executive Living, Actually it's quite good that you are actively responding to comments, I commend you for that.
  19. Hi Executive Living, On your website it says Mr. Alvin Ong is the founder of the company.
  20. Hey, forget it, I tried googling legend plate is just the name of the little plate that people use to label buttons. Anyway, it's not important.
  21. Don't have leh, anyway never mind just curious because most sofas use leggett and platt mechanisms.
  22. The soft layers of foam on all mattresses will compress over time and this is not covered by warranty. This is called wear and tear. If you are comparing mattresses perhaps you could buy something that is less expensive and replace it in 5 years rather than spending more on something and hope it lasts a full 10 year. Just my 2 cents worth.
  23. Hi are your mechanisms from Leggett and Platt or Legend Plate?
