thanks for the info jaskel. got a few qns regarding plumbing costing: 1. For WC: will pan collars / offset collars & bottle traps be included? bottle trap is plastic or ss? 2. For shower mixers - is the exposed bracket / 0.5" connector included?
-
GB is group buy - yea apparently its quite popular , we covered a few shops in balestier & finally ended up at A lighting, the items were apple to apple comparison & the cost savings were quite significant. Alex is quite down to earth too.
-
@jaskel: curious bro, is it supposed to look like that (like a textured look) or is it a 1st coat?
-
hmm i didn't realise my signature made an impression

yours is pretty well done too as a modern theme. for me, i set my benchmark at 3rdrock - his theme with a combination of iKEA products, he managed to pull off a really nice looking home without looking cheap. Definitely not easy to pull off & it shows his creativity, my personal best reno on RT by far

ya my sentiments exactly! still figuring the out if there is a way, but it looks like gotta settle for a wet WC, maybe not drenched, but i think will get some splashes...oh well

To each his own really...in our case we are already happy with our choices, no point going back just for reassurance. for instance we feel that even though SBH is huge, the tile selection process (we personally feel) is not customer oriented, there's no "free-play" element for you to be able to mix-match the pieces to see the final look, yea sure you get the samples but like most other shops you can mix their showroom & bring back the samples. We actually went to Hafary at 10am, but they apparently open late on Sunday, so we went to 2 other tile shops - selection not fantastic, but it was the appetizer to what Hafary had to offer, & we pretty much made up our minds at Hafary on our selection. Already tired, we went to grab lunch & refreshed went on to SBH. The visit to SBH only compounded our decisions made at Hafary Came back home, watched a bit of TV & relooked at our selections - perfect, we knew what we wanted!

mmm no, we came ard 4pm, & jason mentioned you probably passed by to put down the drink cartons. oh btw our mrs are namesakes ;P hope you can resolve the IOU before you move in, its really wrecks the feeling doesn't it. however the small consolation from this is that at least this guy is a licensed moneylender, which means you can still track him down if you really want to. good luck guys, hope things work out fine.
-
hi guys, thanks for allowing us to drop-by your place to have a look. it was a real brain-drain after our tile-selection & it was quite freshing to have a look at your work in progress and Jason was still sick - poor fella! it was quite freshing to have a look at your work in progress - looking forward to see the completed work

the depth of yours is ...design is iffy, ur mrs choice is on design, but depth is iffy - combo of both wld be very

So my understanding of P-trap is that since the P-trap is vented the water that it holds to prevent sewer gasses from coming back in will not be siphoned out. The S-trap however is not vented therefore vaccum can build up allowing the water to be siphoned and sewer gasses to enter. Apparently S-traps are no longer legal in the U.S & Canada. However it does not appear to be a problem here in SG, so the question still stands, why choose 1 over the other? Is it because our waste management is much more advanced & so the trap designs do not matter? How about choking issues? Any expert advisors?

ya its a bit weird, the shower head is just across the WC, take 1 shower & the entire WC will be drenched...need to move things around

makes you wonder doesn't it...you know 15 yrs down our kids will be saying the same thing about our selections too yes...Harfary it is
