  1. hi simplycho not sure if that person you talk to is Mike or Mark. But the way he talk, sounds like that Mark who attended me when i had my renovations months back. SImply rude and poor, horrible customer service. He will put words into my mouth and simply have no respect when talking to a lady. Cos his conversation with me, is totally different from the way he talk to my husband. Anyway, it is good that you 'voice' out all these. hopefully those who going to engage them in future, please really think twice. They give cheap rates, but it also means the quality you're getting is also not there. till now, I'm very careful with my windows, not because it is precious, BUT it is so FRAGILE!!, never seen such low standard windows before. EVEN their wrought iron gate is cheapo lor. really regret getting engaging them.
  2. my house is completed. carpentry and design done by them. tiling i looked for a contractor cos preferred his workmanship. From what i understand from the ID in city design, each of them have their preferred carpentry worker and electrician workers. Hence what is okie for me, may differ from yours since using different ID. In general, I will give them a 8.5/10 for the carpentry and electrical workers. - in terms of workmanship and attitude. But if you're looking for good pricing, I won't recommend them. They aren't genereous with freebies and are calculative. Just had my house warming, comments from my friends and relatives are for the design. Many like the laminates and colour theme and designs.
  3. From what I understand, a gloss white laminate will not turn yellow, as compared to a matte white. But if there is no regular cleaning, then I guess any light coloured kitchen will trun yellowish, as in dirty?
  4. the mirror console very swee swee leh. at a glance, it just looks invisible, like your tv and other stuffs on console are floating. How much for that console. New, your house realli veri Out of the Box. Love it. Drool over it. hahah But hor...the cleaning and fingerprints can die leh.....
  5. hi francine you don't cook? noticed that you have an open concept kitchen. or are you considering a glass door? looking forward to your 3D designs =)
  6. for my case, when i wake, i will on the heater, then proceed to brushing my teeth, then to bathing. The water is already warm enough for my bath. Not necessary need 10-15 minutes. Then will turn it off after bathing. However if many are using the heater, then perhaps on and off several times will consume more electricity. perhaps you can off after the last bath. My house oni 2 of us. So we only on twice a day. morning and night.
  7. Very nice wallpaper you have , I'm also considering getting from Golden City to do wallpaper for my dining area. Did they come and take measurement before giving you a quote? or just from floor plan?
  8. WOW, your house nice nice leh. I like the feel of your house. very cosy.
  9. erm...when the guys deliver my leather dining chair, they say use leather cleaner, dun use cif. but you wan try, then try a small portion. I use Leather Master to clean the stains on my leather. you tried this brand before? or you can go daiso and buy this sponge - very long, white colour one. erm...duno issit called melamine sponge. very good for cleaning stains or dirt that i cant clean even using damp cloth with soap.
  10. can't remeber how much le. got it last year. yours homogenoeus tiles right? what floor cleaner you use?
  11. when cleaning my floor, I feel that no matter how we clean, the floor still have the dust dust feel. we gave up on mops. now we use our osim iecology to steam and vacuum at the same time. seems much better. but somehow, the tiles are not as reflective as before all carpentry are done. wonder issit dirt trap too long and form a dirt layer? haiz....
  12. nice simple place you have. I have the same dining chairs as yours, just that i took white instead. But black is definitely easier to maintain. seems like after move in, you all unpack very fast leh. Im still in the midst of unpacking, so yet to take any pictures.
  13. haha...like induction hob cos nice and sleek and easy to clean. 'ai swee ai easy' for lazy people like me mah. on avg, about 900 - 1500 also have. Mine is brandt one. the smaller one with 2 burners onli. But hor one thing is, when using induction hob, while cooking, you cannot say take the pan / wok up and toss the food like those chef in TV hor. cos once away from the hob for sometime, the hob will switch off le.
  14. hi Homemaster, we are not sure what actually happened. But if whatever you've said previously (and deleted) were the truth, there is no reason for you to remove it. If the contractor is worth a praise, no one will deny him of it. But that contractor should also know, this forum is partially the reason his business grew. If he wants to maintain his good reputation, then come in and clarify, and not work backscene. And most importantly, he has simply no rights to prevent people from saying the truth. People have eyes to see and brains to judge. I'm sure you aren't the type who "ci bao mei shi zhuo" to go around create trouble mah. Anyway a friend of mine was looking for cheaper quotes from contractors. Almost wanted to ask her to check out Jason. But to be fair to my friend, I really hope you can share with me what happen. Don't want to let history repeats itself.
  15. I didn't know there are areas without govt gas. Learnt something today. I'm not sure about that nominal rate. But i do agree there are times i don't remember using gas, but was charged something, so i thought my gas leak?? and that's also the reason why i opt for induction hob. cos i'm so scared one day the cylinder will explode. Reiki, your designer also smart smart, hide it so nicely. New, your island is the best. I kept telling hubby , SEE SO NICE SO CHIO
