  1. tks vm! much appreciated. For those interested in victorian look and also looking for trimmings....can take a look at this place i found....http://www.joomla.huphengwoodworks.com.sg/ . Potentially money saving i guess....i am going to get my designer to select some trimmings for my "clean" baroque look...
  2. How about thin strip of colour stretching across the floor and encompassing the ceiling as well?
  3. I think you are better off with doing white cement screed rather than epoxy paint mate. White cement screed will give you a marble like finish...seamless...but only think is it will not be shiny. Epoxy paint looks **** cool to start but not lasting...and cracks easily...giving you lots of headache...especially dangerous once you have little ones running around..picking up the pain flakes which dropped off... trust me...i had to replace my floor with tiles after 3 years ....which by that time...the epoxy flooring was in rather bad condition already mate
  4. Hi bros/sis! Anyone have any idea where else to get faux fireplace besides cottage crafts? was hoping to get it at a more economical price as my reno is running over budget due to my wife's demands...heheh Oh yeah...anyone has any idea where to get classical motif trimmings for walls or doors as well pls? Hoping to incorporate some victorian influence into my flat as my wife likes it. Much appreciated!
  5. Is it really so bad nowadys? I bought a low floor 13 year old 5 rm for -10k COV 4 months back... I think for low floor..COV should still be ok? Also have to take into account the overall pricing rather than COV or not when bargaining...IMHO
  6. Have recently got a resale hdb flat and the toilets are really too small for my needs. I understand that HDB only allows the enlargement of toilets for non wet areas..and that is only for not more than 0.6 sq metre...so it looks like it will be an ardent task to get approval for any works more than that. However, some designers keep suggesting works with regards to extending toilets and I have seen many pictures in ID mags that shows definite extension of toilets. Any bros/sis have done extension of their toilets pls? Thanks very much!
  7. mine is full leather with stainless steel legs...dunno about the frame/structure though...but daily abuse for 5 years and only wear and tear on the leather becos we dont care for it..haha..my wife is even considering reupholstering it becos its combines extreme comfort with the modern sleek look we love...quite hard to find for sane pricing. hmm...actually when we bought the sofa....we were a bit worried as some friends in that industry told us the company may have some cashflow difficulties....so dunno if its still the same melandas we are talking about actually......
  8. I have a leather 3 seater from Melandas bought around 5 years ago.. I would say qualtiy is very good...I love the pocketed springs they have in the sofa but unfortunately they dont manufacture them anymore. Service is rather good but its more lower mid range pricing
