Can consider.... But it is really not my fault that the kitchen cabinet turn out like that. They did not even involve me in the design of the cabinet... U think i have the right to ask them dismantle and redo the whole cabinet again?

Can any advise me on what fluorescent light to buy? As in 5000k, 6000k, 7000k etc.... I need my kitchen to be very bright like the mid-day noon sun kind of brightness. The sales lady gave me 7400k - this is too bluish already.... I called here and she said their shop doesn't have 5000k for fluorescent light. The next lower is 4000k which is cool white... Any other brands can consider? Thanks.

I am looking at usability. The gap btw the basin edge and the kitchen will trap water, collect dirt. Undermount sink is so much more convenient. This is my own mistake to choose postform lo..

Aesthetically it looks ok, but in terms of usage, it doesnt quite suit. The space to the left of the stove, i am suppose to put Microwave Oven, but now the space so small. To the right of the stove has so much space...

i oso use standard underlay. overlay over existing flooring, but feel that its ok after walking on it. u use pergo also? mine pergo 8mm plank + 2mm underlay = 10mm thick. if i dun remember wrongly.

Hi Alamak, Why would it feel hollow? You hack the floor then do LF right? Got put the underlay / sound proofing layer a not?

Lighting issue.... I wanted a daylight CFL. The lady at the lighting shop gave me a CFL of 7400k. I am ignorant about this. I thought the higher value the brighter it is. I install it then realise something is wrong. It is too dim for a 32W light. Went to google, realise that daylight is 5000k. Sh**t. The lady knowledge also no good. Dunno can change a not.....

From the above pics, can see which 2 doors bigger and which 2 smaller? The space on the left of the stove, i have wanted to put my microwave. Now dun even know whether a small one can fit ina not. Even if can fit, it will be very very close to the stove/fire. Maybe it is not obvious from the picture becos i took the pic at an angle.

My skirting also look very old kind. Lena said they usually find the closest match (in terms of colours) to the flooring. My skirting also doesn't look new. :-S

By the time i reach, the cabinet is already 90% done. Too late. I make a quick review abt my contractor here in case i forgot later on. My contractor/company, seems that their style of working is that once you (as a customer) agreed on the price, then there should be minimal involvement from the customer. Actually not "it seems", IT IS! Because they told me so. They said i involve myself too much and causes delay. I should trust them, their design and their taste. And now when they are rushing the work for me (moving in this weekend), i decided to trust them and keep quiet. End up? The kitchen is a goner. 4 doors become 3 doors. 2 big 2 small. And my stove also put at a awkward position leaving little space fo rmy microwave but very big space on the other side. See picture in a few posts later. I already told them. Getting them on site to sort this cabinet thing out. Wa lao....

I had wanted cove lights but end up never do. So derive my happiness from seeing other people's cove light.

It is nice! Just that there are pockets of dim areas. Is it because not enuff tubes so u space them out? Are the cove light and downlight sufficient to brighton up the other side of the room? I dun see any downlights on the other side.

Now comes the saddest part of this whole renovation. I was so happy last night after seeing the lightings.. but the happiness is shortlived. Regret..... (1) I chose postform for my kitchen top instead of solid surface because postform uses wood and laminate and there are more colours to choose from. But i forgot that postform top canno tdo undermount of sink. I am dissapointed. My mum also. Very dissapointed. Dunno whether is it Contractor told me before but i forgot or they gave me the wrong info. Regret..... (2) Postform uses laminate. So for my L-shape cabinet, there is a need to paste 2 seperate pieces of laminate and there is a joint line. I was told about this but i forgot about it. The line is obvious because my top colour is near white. Another hiccup: My 3D drawing has 3 doors for the bottom cabinet. But the carpenter did 4 doors, i dunno why. From an angle, it seems 2 of the doors are smaller in width compared to the rest. Can't confirm this becoz the workers workingon the cabinet and i can't get close enough to see... Haiz....

Today: Installation of window grilles, main gate and bifold doors completed. I just realised the bifold door colour, aircon colour and my wardrobe door colour all very matching. Bifold door lock This is the bottom track, like i say, mainly for guiding the door movement purpose. This is the top track, the roller is hidden inside, not easily disclocate, so more robust in this sense.

She must be thinking better not fool around with customers, nowadays internet forums are very powerful tools. THere is really nothing abt the headboard. Just that the one which i ordered is slightly inclined so more comfortable to sit on bed, lean on it and read a book. As soon as i see the end-product, i take some pics.

Yah yah,... cutlery tray... i always forgot this term.
