  3. My ID is no longer working with PL anymore and I lost his contact when I changed my phone :(

But, please don't be in a hurry to complete your renovation as the contractors who actually do the job may actually take advantage of the situation and do a lusy job. The electrician did that to us, though I went to check on the progress everyday after work. It helps to keep a realistic t...

  5. Hi homelover, My home renovation was done by Plush Living. No regrets. Very happy with ID's services. My ID has been very prompt and minimal reworks. You can visit my t-blog for my renovation story and beofre and after pics of my home. When all other IDs we went to estimated 4-6 weeks for reno, Plush Living ID estimate was 3.5 weeks. I was worried that it was too short, but my ID did handover on date
  6. How much were you charged for changing the PVC pipes? Also, what did you do about the rockstone finsih of the walls? Any info regarding cost to share?
  7. I recently heard that we can remove the rockstone finish by using paint-stripper (paint remover). Has anybody heard of it? My flat is also having rockstone finish on all the walls and also the PVC pipes
  8. Hi Pinklady, This one is specially for you But taken from my mobile camera The place is entirely messy becuase of the works going on. Will try to take a pic in natural light to show the kitchen tiles pattern. My ID commented difficult and wastage to form the continuous pattern. But it has come out quite nicely Even the bathroom toilets have faint patterns on them. Sad that can't show it clearly on the pic. Kitchen Wall Tiles Granite Sink Kitchen Sink view MBR Toilet Couldn't take the pics of the common toilet yet. As usual waiting for comments from RT Guys and Gals
  9. Just came back from viewing the house reno. The Kitchen Wall Tiles and MBR Toilet Wall tiles are up today Grouting is yet to be done. Couldn't take any pictures bcos i dint carry my camera Will post pics soon.
  10. Hi Pinklady, thanks for yiur comments. Yes the 3D drawings have more of brown in them. It looks so dull. I have asked our ID for more glossy white and less brown. Also the wall tiles colors are white as well We are going for white and brown combination for the furniture because it is the most standard color and easy to match with any color scheme The Living Room wall color is Morning Dew, the color shown in the pic is Natural Linen, that will be only on the wall behind the feature wall
  11. Yes same here too. My ID did not reduce the price, ut agreed to do some minor stuff FOC for me. So, I am happy for now
  12. Please recommend brands for WC and Instant Heater.
  13. More or less finalized 3d drawings are here. Comments welcome!!! 1. Living Room - White laminates will be glossy white instead of what is seen in pic. Are the mirrors in the feature wall nice?? 2. Kitchen Cooking Area - More white and less dark brown in the kitchen to make the kitchen look bright 3. Kitchen Sink - The Sink Support will be concrete (white tiles and plywood doors) and the sink will be black granite, instead of what is seen in the pic. 4. MBR Wardrobe - The white laminate will be glossy white instead of what is seen in the pic.
  14. Those are my fav too At first our ID took us to LSH for choosing the tiles. Then after we changed the color concept for our kitchen, we went alone to LSH to choose tiles again. This time we just stepped into Hafary to check on their tiles. But we liked the tiles selection available there and decided to get the tiles from them
  15. Thanks to the info provided by jaskel and IceBlue, I was able to negotiate with my ID for reducing the price of constructing the concrete kitchen sink. He has agreed to do some additional small works FOC for us He also will be getting us toilet accessories at warehouse price Hacking works started on Monday and completed yesterday, even though we haven't delivered the bank cheque to my ID. Our loan has been approved, but we haven't received the cheques yet. He has been quite accommodating so far. By yesterday evening, all the tiles have arrived. Today, tiling works are about to begin
  16. Just my opinion U can ask to reduce items highlighted in red. I am not sure about most of the carpentry works, since I am not doing much carpentry for my home. I have given below the amount my ID quoted for the highlighted ones. Hope it helps! 3 To fabricate & install 28ft top & bottom kitchen cabinet with solid ply swing door, internal white PVC, $2,800.00 aluminum recess handle, 01no dishrack, 01no cutlery tray, in glossy laminate finish. 1 To supply & paint whole house wall & ceiling with ICI emulsion paint. $1,100.00 2 To apply for haulage service includes sand/stock up/ clear debris by contractor. $300.00 BTW, my house is 4A HDB.
  17. The length of the sink support is about 3ft. I am planning to construct the top also using concrete/tiles to save $$$. I am looking to buy a granite sink that will fit into the 3ft sink support. Please help!
  18. Hi All, I am planning to erect a concrete support for kitchen sink. Anybody can guide me on the rough cost (3ft length)?? Also, how much will a granite sink cost?? Where can I buy them?? Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, GK

  20. Oops sorry for missing this post. Actually in the pics the tiles do look nice. But when you observe closer there are quite a lot of cracked tiles. That is why we decided to redo the kitchen and 2 toilets completely. PM you the valuation
  21. Selected Tiles: Comments Welcome!! We are planning to have mostly white tiles and less dark tiles. Those white tiles have similar patterns as on the dark ones, but not visible bcos of camera flash. BTW, I asked my ID to reduce prices based on tiles. He said he cannot But hoping to get some small things done FOC 1. Kitchen: 2. MBR Toilet 3. Common Toilet
  22. Yes. Doing all my tiling, carpentry, painting everything. I am employing an ID.
