  1. I am charged 1200 for my 8ftx8ft wallpaper from goodrich by my ID. wallpaper design belongs to the average pricing category. Is this a reasonable pricing? Anyone with wallpaper experience can advise?

  3. engaged home success before and it was a angry and disappointing experience. the ID that we got left the company halfway through the project and it was followed up by another ID. things went downhill from then and the company gave crappy attitude when confronted. workmanship was very inconsistent, parts of it average and parts of it lousy. after we move into the apartment, a few areas gave problems due to poor workmanship and we got them to fix it up for us but they will only fix it when they haven got the whole payment. there was a problem that kept coming back and after 2 times of fixing it, they refused to come back to fix. our ID has left the company and so we called the manager to ask about the problem. the admin kept saying he will call back but never. on the day of our last payment, we called the company to ask why didnt anybody call back and the admin continued to say that they will call back. the admin was very rude by the way. got quite angry and told her "ok i will stop the cheque then" (but actually the cheque should have been processed), when she heard that, she said, "the manager will speak to you now". of cos the manager told us he will send his men down to fix the problem. nobody came down and of cos we couldnt contact the manager again. call them, admin say "call u back", got angry and confronted her, she SHOUTED "you are getting on my nerves mdm, i am just a admin here, u scold me also no use". FABULOUS isnt? one reminder, only pay them when you ensured all areas are fine, if not, you will not see them once payment are cleared. the warranty that they promised is complete bull****!
  4. Concluded way too early the other time. If you were to ask me, i would say dun ever choose *. my house is still not done up fully till now can you believe it, it is in shift-in condition but some parts still not done up. After the handover, it takes them 2 plus months to do up the walk-in wardrobe, still not finished and waiting again. the workmanship is lousy to the max, initially it was fine (when i commented the fist time) then the remaining job was ****, not to mention the walk-in wardrobe that they are STILL doing now, i just feel like tearing down the whole wardrobe and redo again, the workmanship is VERY ugly and the shelves are uneven. Quality of work is very inconsistent, only thing that doesnt change is that my ID is still very patient and that helps a tiny bit. Definitely agree that they cant design for nuts. very blood vomiting experience!!!
  5. Have? Really? Topping up is not a problem. There are solid colours internal compartments but my carpenter doesnt have pink, but there is red. but accd to my ID, the red colour planks for the internal compartments have been kept for 2 years so it has became 2-toned red and the carpenter is not gonna supply it in that state. Im still looking for pink lah.
  6. Oh no, i got my ID wrong. He is saying the internal compartments for the wardrobe cannot use laminate, laminate does have solid colours, if i want pink laminate then i will have to maybe fix a casement door and only have pink laminate for the drawers. it is not possible to use laminate for the internal compartments. Sigh.
  7. Exactly! especially the 'testimonials', one look and you will know something is wrong! I am using * too and the only thing that is to their advantage is that they are cheap, nothing else. Their designs are truely backdated (IMO), like how my previous house was designed 10 years ago. As for workmanship, it is ok. Lucky for me, my ID is good, very patient and experienced. He is good in executing the plan but when it comes to designing, like i said, its quite backdated, i feel its very malaysian-nish. So good thing for me is, right at the start I already know what design I want and he will advise whether it can/cannot be done and then execute the plan. Cons of my ID: sometimes forgetful and things not done on time. My advice is that if you are particular about the design, then dun look for * because it seems that they dun keep up with the current trends, still old designs, quite malaysian style. Well if you already have the design in mind, then get an experienced ID from there and it shld work at that point. For after-sales i dunno yet, but im not too optimistic on that. Also, if you are particular about punctuality (things bein done on time), it seems * is not a good choice either. My house has been delayed for close to 3 weeks. Certain things that my ID said will give me by when, like 3D drawings or some samples, it was not on time but eventually he will give. This is not so much of a problem for me so long as he do it at the end of it. Always keep track on your renovation and keep bugging your ID to make sure things are done properly! IMO, NW IDs are not as committed because of a reason, so it seems that some have rubbish attitude.
  8. Matt. I asked my ID and he said many carpenters dun have solid colours anymore since the demand is on wood type now. Do you know of any reliable carpenter experienced in wardrobe doing solid colours type?
  9. I think its laminate. Laminate is the material use to build the whole closet frame right? ABS trimming is for the edgings only right? Actually im not too sure about the terms used. The end result should be a pink wardrobe (mine is wiw wardrobe without door), ,material used should be reasonably lasting, not the spray paint kind.
  10. Im custom making the closet for my walk-in-wardrobe but the carpenter that my ID is using does not have colour materials (im not sure what it is called, the plain colour kind, not the wood kind) for the wardrobe frame. Im looking for pink ones or next alternative red. Anyone has any idea which reliable contractors or wardrobe specialist has the colour materials?
