Anyway guys I got unfortunate news. I shall hold back some info for the moment but roughly, I'm screwed. I paid 50% of the renovation amount (10% deposit, 40% payable upon hacking) when the ID didn't give me a schedule of works. You can imagine what's happening now. The work started and I still didn't have a schedule till yesterday (one week after renovation begun). The ID said he doesn't know when the tiler will start and when the tiler will be done. He said its our fault we want the best tiler in town and the best tiler cannot be rushed if not he won't want to do work for my ID in future. He said he will let me know at a later date. That's why 3 weeks. There has been no work done for 3-4 working days already. I still have to move out by the 15th of Jan. And according to the schedule, it seems I can only move in (carpentry not up yet) by end Jan and even this date, ID cannot promise. *sigh Gosh, I am so depressed now.

TOTAL: 4m 0.9m - allowance for fridge (my ideal fridge is going to be 0.7m in width... standard for those tall and slim units?) 0.4m - space between fridge and sink 0.9m - size of sink 0.8m - space between sink and cooker 0.8m - size of cooker hob (won't be having any oven underneath the cooker) 0.2m - space between sink and wall How about this? Meaning the sink will be between fridge and cooker.
