  1. Hello, please PM me your catalogue with pricing for downlights as well as ceiling fans. Thank You!
  2. hi @dietgalvon! Beautiful house! Must feel so happy that renovation has come to an end (more or less?)... I am currently starting the renovation for my own place and was wondering if you could PM me the contacts for the following suppliers: SERVICE YARD WINDOWS - JUN CONTRACTOR BLINDS - U SERVICE GLASS WORKS - AH JIA Thanks!
  3. Hi people! we've shortlisted down to Ariston but realized the model we want will be out of stock until March. Can't wait that long. Back to the drawing board again for selection, Brandt, Bosch & Turbo are abit out of our budget, this being a first oven, Ariston was in the acceptable value vs price range. Now reconsidering - Cuizino, Tecno, Electrolux (we don't know if Electrolux fits our budget tho). I know kitchen matters has mentioned Tenkei a few times, but we'd prefer a brand which has been in the market for a while. Would appreciate any advice or reviews for the mentioned brands, or any recommendations for brands/models of ovens with turbo fan function below $700! Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi there. Planning to install the oven below our stove to save space, hob was left from previous owner and in good condition, stainless steel top
  5. Hello, Thanks for your input! You seem knowledgeable and noticed you mentioned your "channel", are you in the oven business? Renovation has just started not too long, electrical works & ceiling works are in progress now. Estimate handover time still not known. Keeping fingers crossed that we can move in before CNY Think we will more or less be going for non-catalytic Ariston or Turbo brands, somehow quite apprehensive about the self-cleaning panels, cos in the end we still have to wipe the panels that are not self-cleaning, so find it abit pointless...
  6. Hi Ben, that's the same model I'm considering at the moment. Brandt and Bosch ovens with similar functions & specs definitely to the Ariston FZ62C 1IX cost more, we came across a Brandt Catalytic ytd at best denki IMM that's currently selling at a promo price of $969, usual price is more than 1k. Think it's a pretty good buy if you're looking for catalytic. Tho my hubs and me are still unsure if the catalytic function is useful enough to pay extra for.
  7. We're looking for an entry-level oven for our home. We're amateur baker-wannabes so we really don't know much about ovens. The search started from Turbo (was intro-ed a basic model by a sales-uncle in a major electronics dept store) until Turbo, Ariston and Brandt (which is over our budget). We've also been told that if we do not do our own cleaning, it's best to get a self-cleaning model, the only one we know about is from Ariston and costs $765. So i'd like to ask you experienced oven-users, is the self-cleaning function useful? Hubs is advocating Turbo, but I feel the price level seems to be similar as Ariston, which I perceive to be a better known brand, not sure if I'm right tho. Would appreciate your comments. Is there any other self-cleaning oven that we can get for below $800? Thanks!!
  8. do note that prices listed in lightings.com.sg doesn't include delivery. we visited lightings.com.sg over the weekend and were impressed by the transparent and reasonable prices - for downlights - they list 2 prices for either premium bulb & ballasts or budget bulb & ballasts (we were told by a salesperson from another shop it makes a world of difference, particularly cos ballasts are very troublesome to chance if defective). however, we ended up ordering our downlights from another shop recommended by a colleague of mine, they matched the price listed (just a dollar difference per light) at lightings.com.sg and included delivery. we have not received delivery tho, so mayhaps will try to update when we have received delivery of these lights we ordered
  9. Hi there, not able to the Ho Bee fanclub, just feel that Patrick is very busy, and we feel more comfy with our other contractor, whom we decided to engage in the end =)
  10. Ho Bee comes highly recommended by a good friend of mine who was his client abt 2 yrs ago. before we got our keys, i already emailed them to fix appt last Wed, confirmed by email twice. on agreed date & time, we waited at our new place for Patrick and found out somehow he wasnt informed by his wife abt the appt, he apologised and re-scheduled for the next evening, we met Patrick last Thu nite for measurement & quote, still waiting, been told that the quot will b ready by tmr latest. Seems like they are seriously popular, first impression of Patrick is pretty good tho, he's ready to provide suggestions while incorporating our thoughts and ideas, am abit concerned about the fact that there won't be 3D drawings, will make things a lil hard to visualize
  11. I've been lemming closets by wardrobe specialists for a while now, been to Closet Design's website but did not contact them as their promotion details on their website seems too much over our budget, dropped by Dream Homes exhibition at Expo last weekend and chanced upon Closetrobe's stall, they offered a pretty good deal but I was hesitant to sign on the spot as I haven't done much research. Last nite, we went to Closet Design's showroom and after hearing our offer from Closet Robe, they were quick to counter-offer us. We were very happy with the non-pushy and patient sales attitude by Eva, the design consultant and the good offer, so decided to take up their offer on the spot and pay a $200 deposit. Shall be arranging with them to come over for measurements once we are ready. According to Eva, the whole process of measurement, design proposal, design confirmation and installation will take approx 3-4 weeks.
