  1. Back splash normaly attached together with the counter top, it raises roughly around 50mm to 80mm at the back of ure kitchen counter top. Normaly the mateirals that ppl use is solid surface, such as LG max or Corian, or some ppl prefer to use granite for kitchen counter top + backsplash. The one that covers the wall isn't a back spalsh, those are just backing. And there are plenty options on materials tat can be used. Stainless steel, tiles, wall paint, or like that picture shown above. The material is coloured back glass. It will make ure entire kitchen wall looks elegant if u use the correct colours of coz. =) Tempered coloured glass is quite durable for backing (normally ppl use it for the aesthetic pleasure). However, when it comes to hobs and heavy cooking, maybe try consider using another material such as stainless steel. Some ppl mix both materials, those that are align with the hob = use stainless steel, and the rest of the wall area = coloured back glass. Hope it helps:) Regards
  2. Sorry Tiramisu for the late reply. How's ure TV console by the way? The answer for SCV location below; Try not to change the position of your tv console/tv feature wall so much especially with your TV attached onto it. SCV normally located on the wall provided by the developer itself, or HDB. Unless you are planning to move it to somewhere else. Best location for scv will be behind your TV console. In order to make the whole tv console looks clean and neat, try to put all the sockets behind the tv console, however you will need to have an access from the front part of your tv console towards behind (wall side). Hope it helps, and take care =)
  3. hehe.. finding an ID firm is like finding a good BF or GF...its difficult to find an ID firm that you can trust... Usually through recommendation is the best...=) Have you found one yet?
  4. Dear Topline, Ah.. I forgot to let you know that Laminats is not waterproof, But I believe its water and heat resistant.
  5. Dear Topline, From what I have experienced, Lamination on the top or covering bay windows will be one of the solution to make the whole entire room looks nicer (of course depends on the style and colours that you've chosen). Some of the benefits that you can achieve by having lamination over bay windows are; 1. Easier to maintain, if you sit a lot on the bay window, you don't need to worry to spill the water on the top of it, or dirty it... because laminate is pretty easy to clean. 2. Price wise, is good compared to other finishing for bay windows. Negative things by using laminates over bay windows are; 1. If its exposed toward direct sunlight or direct rain, it will have some contraction. (not to mention, usually bay window side will have curtains...so this will reduce the impact of direct sunlight) 2. If your bay window pretty long, you'll see some joint lines. Those explanations are based on a standard knowledge of laminates over bay windows for your considerations. Hope it helps. ^^ Best regards, and have a nice day. Stillion77
