  1. Ya, thanks for the advise.. I were told Onkyo is sharp. strange.. Bet it is subjective to different ears.. I will audition Denon and Onkyo that before i finalised them. Right now, i am still looking for WHITE speaker mount.
  2. Feedback from KEC is Onkyo has sharp tone, mixing with ProMonitor speaker which is sharp. The music and surrond soud is double sharp. Was recommend Denon 1910 which compromise and compensate the sharpness. Is it true that ProCinema 800 go with Denon 1910 will has a slightly warmer tone?
  3. ProCenter 1000:Two 4-1/2" BDSS upper bass/midrange drivers; Two 4-1/2" pressure coupled bass radiators ProCenter 600: Two 3-1/2" BDSS upper bass/midrange drivers pressure coupled to two 3-1/2" bass radiators What is the upgrading cost of ProCenter 600 to 1000? $$ go to the diameter, it is 1" more. ProMonitor 800: One 4-1/2" BDSS bass/midrange drivers; One 4-1/2" pressure coupled bass radiator ProMonitor 600: One 3-1/2" BDSS upper bass/midrange driver pressure coupled to one 3-1/2" bass radiators What is the reduction cost of ProMonitor 800 to 600? $$ go to the diameter, it is 1" smaller. ProMonitor 600: Frequency Response: 65 Hz – 30 kHz ProMonitor 800: Frequency Response: 57 Hz – 30 kHz A cost of $600 to gain more Hz.. Above are based on specification and numbers. You must audition the speakers. Quote from jervislim: "your wallet agrees with your ear" is more realistic.
  4. A couple of Qs... What is your comment between SVS PB10 NSD and Velodyve CHT-8Q? How do you mount the rear L/R speakers? What is the reason of having Front ProMonitor 1000 and Rear ProMonitor 600? Care to elaborate more? Went to audition on a wkday night.. Option 2. I agreed with Brovicenzo70. Upgrading the Sub is a must within the ProCinema System. Option 3. Dialogue is much clearer and brighter in movie. Knowing 80% is from this ProCentre, i felt the surrond sound is coming from Centre instead of Front L/R speakers. I don't really like it but bet it is subjective. Option 1. No doubt ProMonitor 1000 is better than ProMonitor 800. Music is clearer and brighter.
  5. Bro vicenzo70, Due to budget constraint, I have to select the upgrade. The living room is 4.5m by 5.4m, old 4 room HDB flat. ProCinema 800 come with ProMonitor 800(4x), ProSub 800 and ProCentre 1000. Option 1: Upgrade Front L/R speaker from ProMonitor 800 (2x) to ProMonitor 1000 (2x) Option 2: Upgrade ProSub to SVS or Velodyve Option 3: Upgrade ProCentre 100 to ProCentre 2000. which option has the most impact? which has the least? Thanks..
  6. One great reason of buying Def Tech ProCinema is i am able to buy 2 BLACK Front L/F speakers and 2 WHITE Rear F/L speakers. The WHITE speakers will match to the WHITE wall. My intention is to wall mount the Rear F/L speakers with a bracket so that it can tilted toward the sofa area. Is tilting of rear speakers toward the sofa area necessary? To have a better sound effect.. I am looking for white wall mounts if possible so that the speakers can blend to the wall. Def Tech is selling ProMount 90. Omnimount is selling omnimount 10.0 W/C. Both look the same. Where can i find white wall mount in Singapore?? Appreciate any reply that would help..
  7. Thanks for the reply.. Do you mean upgrade from ProCenter 1000 to ProCenter 2000? May you explain on the Cons of the ProSub 800 which include in the ProCinema 800? Why do we need to upgrade the sub to compliment the ProMonitor 800 Satellites speakers? Do you think ProSub 1000 is on par with SVS sub? I don't know how does SVS sub look like, hence i don't know how does it match with the speakers. (ProCinema 800 system come with ProSub 800) Sorry that i asked 3 Qs in a row..
  8. Hi.. I am a newbie.. I plan to buy def tech ProCinema 800 but will upgrade the front L/R speakers to ProMonitor 1000. I am 50% movie / 50% music (include concert). Went to audition VCD and Bu-ray. Prefer the sound coming from ProMonitor 1000. Do i need to upgrade the sub Velodyne CHT8Q series? Please advise and comment on any amp matching to the above: E.g.: 1. Denon ; which model and why.. 2. Onkyo ; which model and why.. Appreciate any replies that would help..
