Hey, My wife and I went to the exact same place and tried this very same bed! We lay down there for like half an hour and like the feel of it very much. The freebies are attractive as well and the Ottoman will add a hotel feel to your bedroom! We liked Serta a lot but decided on Tempur instead cos my wife sometimes has a backache, Tempur maybe is the better choice.

Yeah we are going to get a smaller sofa. But we will wait until everything is in first to gauge how much space we have. Layout drawings just cannot give us the correct feel about the space, we have to see it to feel it for ourselves. In fact I am toying with the idea of not getting a sofa at all and replacing it with a few bean bags which are definitely more flexible and space savings. Too bad my lady boss is against it. Regarding the glass cutting. looks like if I get people to come down and do it at my place, the cost would be around the same Maybe I just need to find some time to roll up my sleeves and remove the glass panels myself to bring it to the glass shop. Last time I bought a large glass panel, about double the size of the window for about $20 only. They cut it to size from a larger piece right there in front of me. Next Tuesday I will be meeting Serene from Jetsac. We are going to install 3M safety film for our shower screen. Recently there has been a few cases where the glass just shatters by itself when there are people bathing inside. Would not like to take chances. This 3M window film is supposed to be able to hold the glass together even when it breaks into small pieces. Getting it for both shower screen at about $300+. Anyone tried it before?

In the end we are going to leave it as it is. 1. The cost for rework is prohibitive. Cutting the existing frame or making a new one would all involve extra cost. 2. Shifting around would not completely solve this problem as the TV would still not be at the center. We will look for more compact sofa so that there is as much space as possible between the dining table and the sofa. Later I will be dropping by my place, will try to dismantle the window myself and bring it to the glass shop for cutting.

This is a layout of the living room which I have just sketched. It is what we will see if we dont modify this TV console at all. It is to scale but maybe I have drawn the chair a little bit too small. In short we only have a distance of about 700-800 from the edge of the dining tale to the sofa. The horizontal line accross the sofa is the line of sight which joins the center of the sofa to center of the TV. What do you all think?

Yesterday I found out one major hiccup at my place. The carpentry is coming in already and finally we get to see the shape of our TV console feature wall. According to the design, we are supposed to have 3 different compartments namely: 1. Display cabinet with glass door and glass shelves - 3ft width (nearest to living room window ) 2. TV cabinet - 5ft 3. Curved shelves - 1.5 ft Total length of the wall for the TV console is 10.5ft and there is a 1ft gap between the window and the TV console to make space for the subwoofer. What we did not foresee was this: the TV location is now not directly in front of the sofa but at an angle. This is because the TV will not be in the center of the wall. Moving the sofa further away from the wall to align it with the TV is also not possible because we will hit the dinning table! This is the 3D of the TV console. It does not look off-centered in the 3D because the space for the plant is wrong. It will not be there, the whole wall will be occupied by the TV console and the extra space goes into a thicker display cabinet ( the left most compartment) This is such a major piece of @#$%. We are going to meet up with our ID today to see what we can do. Looks like we have 2 choices now: 1. Get the carpenters to cut the display cabinet into 2 pieces and put the TV compartment in the center. 2. Swap the curved shelves to the other side. The display cabinet will be now on the right instead. - Not nice already. Hopefully we can work out something good.

Hello, Anyone can recommend me a glass cutter? I need to cut a square hole in my window glass for installation of the KDK ventilation fan. The fan cost ard $130 but they quote me $330 which includes acrylic panel and installation. Trying to see if I can save a bit by cutting a hole.

Get Bosch or Electrolux. Much better. My landlady got a Samsung washing machine. Spoilt after 1-2 years like that, paid $300+ to fix. same as buying a Bosch WM.

Hi, Anyone got experience with this Product? http://www.hyfluxconsumer.com/product/view/9 They mentioned on the website that no plumbing is needed but the water source is from tap water so I am not really sure how that works. Another source of water is from condensation of water vapor in the air, is this technology safe/proven? Thanks
