Hi Bought LG HLB54S bluray soundbar at Harvey Norman (Tampines Mart) today. Saw it on sales in Sat newspaper, quickly grab. (free 3 bluray disc & free water kettle. Damage $1199. Buddy help to check at PC show - price at $1249. Weakness seen so far, no scv digital box connector, need to use video-out for ipod. So plan to upgrade scv to HD box, so that can plug into hdmi connector. So far sound ... better then my lok kok 4year old samsung 5.1 home theater.

Day 20 (Sunday) - jb curtain maker on-site plus surprise Arrange meetup with a jb freelane curtain maker (got the contact from renotalk) at new flat. Not going to reveal who he is 'cos had not seen result yet. Wish me luck ... not very cheap, quote me for $1250 (wf manage to get $50 discount) for full blackout with day/night for all rooms, normal day/night for living room. Est delivery within 2 weeks & good thing is no deposit needed & pay upon completion only. Then wf kaypoh mentioned what if we dont wanna to pay upon delivery ... while he was thinking, quickly switch to other topic Nice & young chap ... appointment at 2pm but arrive at 3pm ... anyway, he called me around 2:30pm when arrived at woodland. Surprise surprise ... when we enter our flat the whole place was clean & shiny .Look like just been washed this morning

Hi Strawberry mine kitchen boxup is FOC But common bathroom is $450 ... bathroom should be more expensive as it have to be waterproof. Seriously my pricing is a bit high but since ID give & take in a lot of stuff, I find the price ok, also kitchen based is FOC also. Of course, they had earn a lot already, all this is just small thingy to them. Important is the quality & workmanship have to be acceptable plus complete in time.

Day 19 (Saturday) - songcho delivery & onsite solar film measurement, zero reno activities Completed stuff since last visit 1. Veneer doors installation 2. Downlights installation 3. Living/mbr/rooms light installation 4. Kitchen pipe boxup 5. Common bathroom doorframe resize (smaller to fit sliding door design) Today Songcho delivery on time - jestac (3m at 10am) & windowcool (llumar at 12:30pm) salesman/girl arrive on time - , so awaiting their quotation next week. Wanna to do reflective film but understand that hdb doesnt allow, but windowcool salesman mentioned no problem ... should I take the risk ? The thing is reflective is just adding 20cent plus block heat better. But this my initial plan anyway to enable me to identify fan switch/dining mainlight easily from downlights ... ... hope it turn out good. 13ax2 no stock also, so changing to MK. hi gim, very good strategy. yup need to be quick on this. Do u plan to change all your switch & socket outlet ? 'cos I only plan to change those "expose" only to save $$$. My electrician/ID provide me the switches count for the whole house, I went down to count those need to change only :P ... baseline, normally ppl change all switch.

Hi all When to Choo Chiang at woodland yesterday, full of dissappointment, showroom doesnt exist as per their website advertisement. Waste my time ... anyway salesguy quite friendly to help to provide measurement & pricing. Still a bit confuse on which to buy but attracted to clipsal c-vivace series - big switch series. Need some help, what is a 1 & 2 way switch ? Is it those switch that can control 2 different source/light with 1 only. Can provide some simple explaination ? thnx

Hi all Forgot to tell a real story , today while my wf & me was walking to Park Mall to look at Lotus mattress, while waiting to cross the street to Istana & Plaza Singapore, suddenly we heard a loud cracking sound & whole tree collapse on road. Wf thot must be someone doing some tree trimming, after closer look doesnt look like it. Whole lamp post was bend & luckily there isnt any car at that moment. Then we saw the istana police rush out to control human & car traffic. Initially, I wanna to stomp this but then saw a lady collapse on the floor with some folks trying to help, so wf said not nice to do. Not sure whether there anyone else hidden under those branches/leaves. Should appear in today tv news or newspaper tomorrow. After 30mins, on our back after bought our mattress, saw whole bunch of police, tree "cleaning" contractor at the site. So be careful when u walk around those area that have tall trees .... later got squash like bug

Hi Just got back from doing shopping for last few critical item ... of course took 1/2 day leave 1. Jvd bathroom hairdryer at loyang. Finally got something nicer than those "vacumm" likes one. Quite happy with this. Tempted by the hotel dustbin & digital glass weight ... spend nearly all my cash ($4 remains) as they only accept cash. Total damage $169 xtually quite surprise ... they entertain small fish like me, as their business is mostly supply huge quantity to hotel. All staffs are friendly & make the effort to take the items out from pallet in warehouse. Do take note, they don't expect many walk-in customer, so call them before u go there. 2. Lotus Kingsize Latex & plush Mattress + free bedframe + 2 free pillow + 1 free protector with discount GSS 20% + 5% DBS card. Damage $2k. Delivery in end of June. Last visit place .. Choo Chiang at AMK for switch, wow look like mechanic shop. No showroom. So really must know what to buy before drop by. So didnt buy any switches. Uncle mentioned showroom is at Woodland HQ branch only ... maybe visit next week after get quantity from ID.

Hi U guys really have lot of idea ... unfortunately did mine liaww ... too late to change. The pipe I hate most the aircon pipe, they said can conceal in wall with some hacking. But buddy said better not as maintenance will be troublesome. No choice lahhh, after painting, it look "invisible" ...

Hi It is gypsum box with waterproofing that why the tiling is delay so long .... cost me around $400. Concrete is not allow by HDB, in case there need to do maintenance in future. I know ... then I got to tear it down... but since mine is top floor, there should not have much "thing" flowing through ... i always wonder then why HDB installed the pipe anyway, buddy remind me if there isnt any, then HDB have to come into my flat to check the pipe each time when downstair resident complain got problem.

Hi When to kallang leisure park, bought all my song-cho welmi (some called chicken brand) for kitchen (dish rack, pull out baskets x 2, cutterly holder) & bathrooms (towel bar x 2, shampoo holder x 4). Salesman friendly & helpful. Worry just in case can't fit though ID had already measure with cabinet, he mentioned can change later. Damage $1.5k . Delivery this saturday. Wf took some photo today, will post later after download to pc... not much activities this few days other than painting. Just awaiting all carpentry material to be ready & delivery from warehouse.

Hi all anyone know where can I get reliable & cheap bedframe ? So far, those robinsons, harvey norman, courts are charging me around $899-$1299 for kingsize dunlopillo or omazz. 'cos rather then spending on bedframe, might as well put it on mattress. Also kind of worry also if buy separately the bedframe may not fit nicely ... saw some forumer bought from hommage but got problem on quality. any advise ? buy together with mattress or separately ? ... kind of loss on this, yet wanna to settle mattress & bedframe this week
