  1. Ya. Quite a few defects. I'm a bit irritated by my ID's carpenters. Got them to redo laminates for kitchen cabinets. That's why it was slowed down. Thankfully we still have a place to stay. In our contract, we never state handover date explicitly, so hard to fault ID. Sighs
  2. New purchases - electrolux vacuum cleaner ZUSG3000 - philips dect phone - sofa bed from courts - panasonic 3-in1 oven They did chemical wash today. Tomorrow, furniture & fridge coming in tmr moving in next week
  3. ya lor. U live in tampines too?
  4. Not everyone can install citygas. You need to call citygas to find out if your block has gas pipe. I'm using cylinder because no gas pipe.
  5. $27k COV for tampines 4-room 104 sqm corridor unit high rise 23 yr old. original owner Collected keys on 20 Apr. Major overhaul: 36k My neighbour said that we can see fireworks from corridor. Let's see how true on national day but reno has to complete first.
  6. Dining table from Hommage Sofa from Seahorse (Half-leather). It will be in dark brown instead. I feel that it is our best purchase.
  7. Updates on progress Kitchen Plastering walls
  8. Tiling is done! They are going to plumbing, ceiling etc finally. We bought some stuff. Dining table @ $799 at Hommage Mitsubishi MR-F51X @ $910 and KDK V56 ceiling fan @ $370. We decided to buy it together to deliver both items together. Else we have to return back to Jurong to buy fan again because there is no stock when we went there. Given a choice, I would buy the fridge at Everjoint($895.). Hope the fan's price is really one of the cheapest.
  9. You can try - Songcho @ IMM, plaza singapura etc (expensive but lasting) - Homefix - Shops that sell kitchen & bathroom accessories along Balestier or Geylang Road - Howard Storage @ Parkway, Pavillion etc That's all I know. I will also be getting a dish rack to place on counter. Let me know where you get yours.
  10. finally I see my beige tiles. It's funny to see tat they tile from living room instead.
  11. that's how it looks like. Bottom will be pasted wit frosted stickers.
  12. I'm doing this type for my corridor windows. I'm paying around 3.5k for all my windows(casements for others) with grilles.
  13. kitchen. So my false ceiling extends to dining area. the drop to kitchen will be after dining area.
  14. This thread is very useful. Looks like WMF pots & pans are good. Will avoid ikea cooking utensils. But we are considering their plates & bowls. Can't go wrong, rite?
  15. Looks like having lights at the centre is not a good idea when there's ceiling fan unless we want 'disco' effect. I'm so thankful for this forum. We'll meet ID again to make some changes. 1. redesign the feature wall. 2. discuss about the lightings plan 3. Install a tall unit beside refrigerator to place microwave and conventional oven. 4. Probably change my kitchen laminates(top part) from white to light wood.
  16. Tks ollie for the contact. We'll probably only do full-length curtains for living room, then get the rest from IKEA for the three bedrooms.
  17. I also went to the fair. My ID recommended them to us, so we signed up with them during the fair with $400 deposit. I did some internet research and realised that their after sales service are not good. You can read it here. Too late for regrets. Sighs
  18. I also think its main purpose is to hide the cables. Will speak to my ID again. I'll not do the centre row of lights as advised by u all. Renovation with a tight budget is such a bother
  19. Opinions? Too simple? Should I do L box instead or keep to this lighting arrangement? I'm having ceiling fan.
  20. Opinions? Too simple? Should I do L box instead or keep to this lighting arrangement? I'm having ceiling fan.
  21. A new design of living room. We still thinking whether to do a row of lights at centre with cove lights at side or L-box. What do u think?
  22. I like Scandinavian design very much because of its simplicity. It uses a lot of whites but I feel that it is difficult to maintain. How do I design my place to have scandinavian look?
  23. That's what I did. I went to heritage and enquired about my crizto sink. Then UU counter-offer and I bought for them. I never see the boss at heritage before but I spoke to the nice boss at UU before
