well. i took a look around and found that the turbo oven is not bad in terms usage and price considering the fact that it's from italy. i'm using their cooking hobs and thus think it would be good to get their oven as well as it has been serving me without fail after so many years. just hoping to see if anyone has comments about the ovens. thanks for your comments. will read more about it.

hey guys. i went to this cooking workshop the other day at liang court. the chef was using this turbo built in oven and im interested to get the model used. do you guys have any recommendations for their ovens?

am looking for something that gives out cool air instead of the normal fan whereby sometimes the wind is hot. i saw this cornell cooler fan the other day and it seems not bad. reasonable priced and has got a remote control too. just looking around for one and would like to know if anyone has tried the cooler fan before? thanks!

Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?
prissypris replied to joper's topic in Electronics & Electricals
maybe you can call the turbo people and ask for their professional opinion about what is wrong with your hob? if you're cooking halfway and the fire goes off without you knowing can be quite dangerous! better call them and have it check out! -
i always thought that drinking water in singapore is safe. personally i have a diamond water filter at home. but have since stopped using it already for awhile. quite troublesome and my mother would prefer to boil her water. recently my mother asked if we should use it again. especially when we paid so much for it. and i thought it would be best if we can get the filter inside change as it'll be safer especially after not using it. the amount to change the filter is like above 500. gosh. so expensive. in the end we just left it there not using it anymore. quite wasted right?

hmmm. im taking nestural birds nest from huiji. personally i only take it when i got craving for it. like after a long tiring day at work and i wanna give myself a treat. i read somewhere that it's best to take birds nests on alternate days. and it would be best to take it at night when the body replenishes the body whereby it will be best to absorb all the goodness of the birds nest.

avoid heaty food. drink lots of water. sleep early. that's what i do when i have pimple outbreaks. maybe you can try this?

personally i have a friend who only eats one meal a day. which is like crazy. for me i take my meals regularly. jog a few rounds around the neighborhood after work on alternate days and also if im not too tired. i avoid fried stuff now especially when the weather is soo crazy and i may get constipated easily due to the lack of water. on days when i tend to overeat, i'll just fruitylite to help ease the bloated feeling. i think it's all in the mind. as long as you can maintain a healthy lifestyle, you can loose the weight anytime.

hi km saw that everyone seems to be asking for your opinion. just wanna know if it's advisable to get a glass hob? personally my new house is getting an optic white cooking hob from turbo. and i got it because it's easy to clean and looks nice. not much cooking will be done at the home, the most just simple boiling of water or cooking maggie mee. thanks!

Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?
prissypris replied to joper's topic in Electronics & Electricals
hmm. my family has been using a turbo hob for almost two years now and everything is working perfectly fine. as long as it suits your current lifestyle, any brand will do. cheap or expensive. and another factor for keeping it long lasting would be to maintain it frequently. if not any brands, cheap or expensive will not last. you can try the major departmental stores like audio house or courts. they have discounts for their items sometimes so it's worth the check out. -
Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?

hi there. i'm quite new to the forums. i'm just curious how does this group buy thing works? can anyone explain to me? thanks! -
hi there. was surfing around the forums looking for cooking hobs feedback and saw this thread. personally my new house is getting an optic white cooking hob from turbo. and yes, i got it because it's easy to clean and looks nice. i think the issue with glass hobs is that it cannot handle weight to an extend. when i purchased my glass hob, the sales person told me that the weight that glass hobs can handle is very limited. for example, your cooking hobs cant be too big as it'll be too heavy for the glass to handle and thus break eventually. i think they have a guide on what can be put on the glass hob or not.

glad to help. you're right. the images on the site are quite small. can't really help but i guess it's better than nothing. what makes you change your mind from the black one to the white one? for me, when i saw it i just told myself that i want that. and since i don't think there will be much cooking done, it'll be very suitable and easy maintainable for us.

hey. i did a google search for images and found the distributor for the optic white hob. maybe you can check out for more images there? http://www.happiness.com.sg/ hopefully this helps.

Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?
prissypris replied to joper's topic in Electronics & Electricals
i think you'll need to be careful when you purchase a glass hob. for my family, recently we purchased and optic white cooking hob from turbo. (for beauty sake and also because my family seldom cook) this is what i gathered from the sales person. even though it is rather easy to maintain, there are several restrictions to it. for example, there is a limit to the weight a glass hob can handle. and the hob will give way one day if such precautions are not taken. -
i got the optic white hob for around 400+. cant remember the exact price already. after getting it from the store, my friends told me i should have waited for their warehouse sales instead. can get good deals from it. T_T maybe if you are keen, can wait for their warehouse sales and check them out again.

just a quick update! i got my optic white cooking hob from turbo already. they will be coming down to fix it soon! got it after the sales person told me it's quite a hot item as there were quite a few orders that day. i supposed that saves me alot of decision making to do! yay for my pretty kitchen to come!

me too! when i saw this optic white hob i was taken away. like seriously. i didnt know turbo has such pretty designs. have you gotten yours yet? i'm still considering between this and the normal hobs available. i mean it's very pretty and it'll go along with my new kitchen. and i dont think you can find anything that's in white in the market right? decisions decisions decisions.

hello all! was looking through my photos and i saw this. which i taken while shopping for appliances the other day. it's a retro designed fan from cornell and i fell in love with it after i saw it. the design was really pretty and the best thing is that it can direct wind in three different directions. and i bought it immediately after seeing it. please tell me it's a good investment.
