  1. not sure if its the same one as my friend. only remember it starts with e. the hob flame was rather weak even when its on the highest. and she got really frustrated before changing it to a turbo one if im not wrong. you better check out the reviews for the hobs before getting one that you might regret!
  2. turbo has a series of island hoods. quite pretty if im not wrong. maybe can consider looking at them? but i think the best way is to find one that fits nicely into the kitchen.
  3. this hob really looks special. like never see in local market before but it looks like it will need plenty of gas/electricity. if you think you have the use for the hob then get it. if not i think it would be better to opt for a simple hob instead. mine is a simple one from turbo which is suitable for my lifestyle. so i think its best to get one suited for your lifestyle.
  4. no problem. you should really look around for a hob and hoob first before purchasing. see the 'fire' and also the design that is best suited for your kitchen. i got turbo because it was recommendated by my mum and she has been using her for ages and thus good recommendation so buy. and it's affordable and suited my kitchen space.
  5. any chance there will be good promotions going on in the upcoming comex? maybe got good deals? or should just go the normal shops to buy a tv?
  6. my hob and hood are both from turbo. they have this special package that includes the hob and hood of your choice. they have ovens as well. for build in ones, it's quite good. can go see see look look. the prices are quite affordable. you can go look look see see first. best to look around and compare.
  7. comex show is coming. maybe can go there and buy a cheap and good tv set? but have to brave through the crazy crowds first!
  8. as might as i think my small turbo hob has good fire, i don't think i can cook hor fun or hokkien mee that taste as good as hawker!
  9. wah. really? should have gotten the induction one because i thought alot of pots and pans cannot be used on the induction. but i'm quite happy with my turbo one lah. got the smaller design. so it's just nice for my small kitchen. im sure the induction hob is easy to clean after cooking! just wipe can already rgiht?
  10. getting a induction cooker may seem easy but it has quite a few restrictions if i can remember correctly. like some of the pots and pans cannot be used on the surface. it may be safer but it has plenty of restrictions. i think getting a normal stove should be better. i got mine (stainless steel) one from turbo after considering for a while. was deciding between a glass hob and a stainless hob. in the end chose a stainless steel one because it would be easier to maintain and no worries about weight restriction which the glass hob has. the gas hob would be a better choice.
  11. you can try turbo for their built in ovens. i have one back at my mum's place and it is working well after a few years. the service from turbo is good as well especially when sometimes i call and enquire about the oven. maybe you can consider turbo and look around and see if any of their ovens are suitable for you?
  12. turbo had their warehouse sales recently. you can ask around or check out their showcase and see if they can offer you a good price for their products.
  13. i finally change my hob to a turbo one. and the cooking experience has been rather different. the flame is angled at about 45 degrees as compared to the previous one that was angled at 180 degrees. and cooking time now is shorten which helps to save on the gas. very happy with changing the hob. don't get frustrated that easily when cooking now.
  14. ya. no lousy products but it's the way we handle it. i'm planning to change to a glass hob for my place. especially when i dont cook much and also since my family has been using the turbo one i'll probably change to the brand itself. i heard alot about other brands but at the end of the day i think it would be best to get one that i have used before as i'm more used to using it.
  15. that's quite a good buy! i agree with what you said on glass hobs. my aunt has been using a glass hob for years and nothing has happened. and yes, slow cookers are created for a reason. my mum also changed to a glass hob from turbo not so long ago as it was recommended by my aunt as it's easy to clean up after cooking. so she's quite happy using the glass hob just that she has to pay attention to what can and cannot be cooked on the hob.
