It can be repair but costly. Repair on you own depends on your skill and its not easy. laminated flooring has warped due to water can cost your laminated flooring thickness to increase hence when you lay your new laminate flooring, there will be a difference in thickness and the edges are very sharp!!!!! so.... example---- 10 sqft affected, you will have to change like 30 sqft or more depends on the seepage... the best is to get back the contractor that lay that existing flooring because other contractor might not know what brand you use... not all laminated flooring have the same clipping system... good luck...

the price a bit bit high... abit only... but don worry... if the stuff that he use is justifiable then the price is okay... its quite hard for us to say whether is fishy a not because we don't know what material he use... different material, different pricing so ya.. the price is quite okay for a 3 room flat with hacking and stuff.

hmmm... as for this case.....parquet is nice and ex... But parquet do rot due to water as well as termite attack... i have seen alot of parquet repairing work due to water... places like near the windows and mosty just outside the toilet area... parquet can resand and vanish and even do staining but laminate can't laminated flooring can be change as and when u like but parquet can't termite attack parquet but don't on laminate and lot more can't think much as my brain is down hahaha... sorry for price range must depends... 2" by 8" all the way to 2" by 12" indo teak parquet. there is alot of sizes of parquet... all got different price... so what is the size he quoted u? market rate is about $5.XX to $6.XX

Vinyl plank is made of PVC, surface of the vinyl is far more nicer than laminated flooring. ( this is based on same range pricing vinyl and laminated flooring ) hmmm... as for cabinet...... the best is install your cabinet first before laying your laminated flooring or vinyl plank..... The reason 1. safe money because you don't have to lay it under the cabinet, save a few SQFT. 2. In any case that you need to repair the flooring, its easier because nothing is under the cabinet. 3. Pergo is branded while Robina is okay Pergo family is the cheapest in the pergo range while Robina is not.... both also not bad... as in variety.... warranty = pergo, service = your contractor... haha u quote for the service.. and if u are getting the same price... go for pergo... because.......................... that is for u to find out...

Hmmm.... u can use better quality of laminated flooring or vinyl plank... both also suitable for living room... both prices are far cheaper that tiles... and the best part is that u can change ur flooring as and well u like it... installation will take up only one to two days... for vinyl plank = 0% dust when installation.

laminates are easier to repair, easy to remove, install as well And in the future when u are sick of the design, cost of changing to a new laminate design is cheaper as well. Most important thing is that use better laminate flooring so that it can last longer.

hmmm.... don't worry about the warping and wood splitting as it can be repair. As for the warping case, just make sure that the contractor are using the good quality chengal and not those fake ones and in any case of warping just change that piece if not file it down. More people are using chengal than merbau in singapore market. And the best is use the real thing.
