  1. Oh gawd, you guys. We have a SVS PC-12 Ultra (Plus) and it's really HUGE. *sigh* Can't even use as a stool, so maybe a cat scratch post? Size: 40-1/4" tall, 16-5/8" diameter. Weight : 85 lbs Fun, fun shifting into a walk-up apartment. -Ely
  2. iwannagohome delivery: Pity about the varnished parquet - will request them to redo it because I specified for a dark tone. Something along these lines: - Ely
  3. Okay, ask and ye shall receive. *Some* carpentry up - didn't expect the island to be so narrow Wet kitchen (will be partitioned with clear glass and glass swing door): Hall: Strangely, for someone so aesthetically-driven, I didn't care how the fans look. Simply picked one of the cheapest /shrug. Think this one with remote is $265. Will change the fan pull later on, or get rid of it totally. There's a glass amber one I'm looking at for the bronze fan in the balcony, and may use a shiny white tassel for this silver one. - Ely
  4. Mae, Are you lusting over the pots and pans~ There hasn't been any exciting purchases! -Ely
  5. LOL! Oops, sorry Marshy. May and I are just hoarders - keep so much stuff that we need so much storage! - Ely
  6. Nope Sadness. It will have to wait till next month at least as we're running very, very low on funds /cry I saw some on alibaba, but they require a min. order of 20 pcs, and I'm too slack to organise some group buy. We went to check out some lighting shops but couldn't find anything similiar. There's one at iwannagohome for $499: (something similiar but not what we're looking for) This was the one we wanted, but no more stock and none coming in anymore: - Ely
  7. Welcome to RT! Really nice 3Ds there - can't wait to see your progress! - Ely
  8. Well, not winning that wardrobe battle. Seems like I'll be using the other wardrobe instead for my extra stuff. So, total only 4x900 + 1x900 for shoes I've got a big chest of drawers from Ikea though so it should work out nicely. -Ely
  9. I'm hoping the closing valve will prevent roaches, as The Husband did inspect the steel traps when they came in and mentioned that they might do well in hindering the roaches. The slits are also sharply angled so that helps too, I think... -Ely
  10. These were things bought from long ago! They don't really count~ At least cookware, crockery, cutlery, kitchen stuff is all settled. Only thing I'm missing are the curtains/blinds/wallpaper. - Ely
  11. OMG mystery solved. I r retarded~ Under Grater 3 pieces (3rd item under Set) - the rim is meant to be used with other pots so the grater can be used for the larger pots as well~ So now, I'm wondering where that 3rd piece (weird stick like thingy) is~ - Ely
  12. Pity, RB. Would a change of the cable fix that? Still undecided about the 609 vs 608 due to the pre-outs and the limited 2-EQ Audyssey ability. Will definitely look into other cables if we want to supplement it for the 609 upgrade instead. Thanks for your valuable input. - Ely
  13. Totally! Like agape! I have to share my wardrobe space so it doesn't count that mine is bigger. May has ALL OF THAT for herself. Completely unfair imo! As for housewarming, I have no idea. Will probably have a small gathering for family and another for some mutual friends, and one casual get-together for the RT-ers, if you guys are interested? I know I stay really far away though. Somewhere in June I believe, when every thing is packed and the pets are settled in. Don't want them spooked too much. Btw May, I love the platform - it looks great! - Ely
  14. Since we're on the topic of crockery/cookware... The WMF Jette cutlery set from the Istean sale (we fell in love with the diamond-faceted handle): WMF knife set: Green Pan Boston 2 pc set: Ikea wine glasses: Ikea champagne flutes: -Ely
  15. Ooh, thanks RB for the link. Am now pretty sure mine is the Gourmet Pro series, though it doesn't state what that weird rim is for. I don't think it's for steaming as there's already a steamer or maybe I'm really placing it upside down It's a weird rim that can be placed in the frying pan or one of the bigger pots... The knob is just a rubberised plastic knob - on the catalogue, it says "suction knob", whatever that means... Thanks very much for this RB! <3 -Ely
  16. Oh well, the glitz chrome lamp didn't go through in the end - they have someone who personally goes through all the orders and my non-US credit card got refunded - I wanted it from that store because it was on sale for US$50, which is pretty worth it, if not it's US$100 from Amazon excluding shipping so opted against it But it's okay, don't need that many lamps anyway. Got a mix-and-match one from Ikea instead. -Ely
  17. I only know Jacky Cheung so chose of his cantonese songs As for Mandarin, I simply picked Teresa Teng since the older folks will definitely know her songs and I do love her old-time voice. Only can have like 22 songs so need to remove -Ely
  18. OMGAH! Looking soooo good, May Dream! Wow! Your wardrobe is HUGE! So much progress in such a short time. Everything is shaping up really nicely - I remember you wanting a red kitchen It's almost weird to see how it becomes a reality, I remember posting some pics as suggestions. I really need this Deh Course. -Ely
  19. Sis Mae, How do you calculate how much luck will be affected?!? I see three lines cutting into my master bedroom though it's not where the bed is? Does that count? Why do you also mention silver spoon? Scary! I pronounce Mae - The All-Knowing Master. - Ely
  20. Well, I'm not furnishing the other room at all, so concentrating on the other areas, which requires furnishings, and everything brand new since we're not moving from an existing place, ie. no pots & pans/electricial goods to bring over or 3 King beds!! Only bringing in our personal effects like clothes and computers. Even a spatula or dishwashing liquid and rubbish bags need to be bought so probably seems like I'm buying more - or perhaps, I simply just post more! Don't see what's fantastic about my purchases - they're all very common? Furnishings from Hommage, Ikea and iwannagohome, lights from lightings.com and Ikea, sanitary stuff from Hoe Kee, LP, Poh Joo and Ideal Bathrooms. Don't think I'm quite so worthy of the Shopping Queen title - Ely

  22. Now I'm getting worried. Shouldn't have read this post because am studying my own floor plan and looking at the lines... - Ely
  23. Well, we've accepted that the wedding banquet is more for the parents than for us, so I'm happy to let them have everything they want. Just don't want to be present looking at intact fins in 250 bowls. Even engaged a band just because both mothers "casually" mentioned about a live band. Had to YouTube Chinese and Cantonese songs when compiling the song list so they have something for them, and reluctantly removed Rammstein and Korn from the songlist I kid, I kid. - Ely
