What's the price ? I got Samsung $1150 with $150 dunno what voucher, lg $990, n Electrolux $900.

I am looking at the same options.... But with additional Electrolux 1274.... LG physically looks better than the square square Samsung. But Electrolux being a pioneer in washing machine is good for consideration except their function is very basic. Headache!

I saw on website that Philips n Osram have these new holder design for circular tube. Unlike the older type which got 4 pins cluster together, these new one got two pins on the outer tube and 2 pins on the inner tube. Their specs shows that it is brighter compare to the older T5 round tube. I have search they while Jalan Besar area and none selling Philips or Osram T5 round tube. All carry Loyal brand. But one shop behind Jalan Besar got sell these new holder tube that cost $16 for a 40W, double the price of the older type. But problem is, I can't find the holder or socket for these new tubes and none of the shop can tell me whether the ballast use for these new tubes will be the same as the ordinary one. Anyone came across these new round tubes by Philips and Osram? Please let me know. U can google for 2GX13 socket or tube to see the pics of these new tubes and socket.

Hi, Anyone having a full panel mirror stick to the wall tiles in their bathroom? Any problem with it? the glass maker advise against sticking directly to the wall tiles as the cement on the tiles might me saltish and cost the mirror reflective to rust in due time and also due to the big heavy mirror panel, it might drop and shattered. Any sharing on this topic? Thanks

sorry, posted on wrong section...

I am sorry for the late response as I seldom log in to this site nowadays. I have a very bad experience with Leef Decor. My disclaimer: this is purely my own personal experience, other might have different experinces with them. Half way through the reno, my ID left the company and because of her dispute with the Leef Decor boss, my reno was thrown in chaos.

I just installed sanyo SAC88 on my 2 pieces casement window. the window behind aircon must open when aircon is used but can be fully closed when not in use. The problem is, because the window is much larger than the aircon, so the contractor have to paste one big plywood to seal the big gap when the other side of the window is close. ugly and flimsy. I was thinking of changing the whole window to sliding window. But also need to know if both panel later can be slide behind the aircon if I want to access the window to hang clothes cos the pole is just outside this small window (upgraded utilities room). I know what u mean about the aircon bracket. I saw it. It was about only a 20cents coin thick. if there's enough gap between the window frame and the window panel, means the window panel should be able to slide over with the aircon frame attached on the window frame. can anyone help me to confirm this before I go ahead to change the whole window? Aircon installer said can, window contractor come see says cannot and need a 3 track window frame, use 2 piece for the window and another extra to install aircon. I'm confused now.

If my sliding window got 2 panels only and I fixed a vertical aircon on it. Can the 2 pieces of window fully slide behind the aircon when not in use and I want to access the window? Anyone knows this?

Hi, I need to put up a casement aircon. My window is push-out type, so it does not have a railing to hold the aircon rack. The only place to use, is to sit on the sliding grill. It's a 2-piece grill, means if I were to put the aircon on one side, then both grill have to move to the other side permanently and I cannot access to the window, which happent to be a place to hang out laundry. So I have to remove both moving grill, leaving the grill frame intact for the aircon to sit on it. Question is, how to I take out both grills from the frame? I see only rivets but no screw openings. If I need to remove these rivets, how do I remove them? Thanks for the help.

Oh ok... there isn't any gap between the glass and the wall/ceiling....but luckily that time I did request a small hole at the bottom of the glass, it's just that the wiring and trunking need to be route donw adn then up... longer and uglier sight...

I have a tempered glass as partition between hall and kitchen. Now, I need re route some electrical switches from the kitchen to the kitchen entrance. However, the glass was fix to the wall/ceiling. Is it possible to drill the tempered glass so that trunking can be use to run through it? Thanks

Is Stand Alone Portable Aircon Good?
user123 replied to user123's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Thanks for the sharing... I don't have a T-blog... But I will share with you my experience with Leef Decor thru PM. -
Pro: cut out insects n lizards from entering ur home protect ur interior from dust Cons: blocking wind from outside trap dust n u will be getting lazy to wash it. if u take off too often, the flexible magnetic strip will break, and the netting will break off from the sides. replacement is **** expensive!

Hi, I have no way to add another unit to my new additional room. only choice I have is portable aircon. Which is better, those window casement aircon or those portable (with a huge exhaust tube)? I understand that both are 7000BTU.

Hi, I wanted a big piece of mirror stick directly onto the wall but the glass contractor told me the mirror will "rust" in time to come because of the salty cement joint on the tiles behind the mirror and also water vapor might trap behind the mirror.... Is it true? Anyway to overcome it? He suggested to construct a frame for the mirror but it's very bulky and add to additional cost. Any idea?

Glass Backplash At Kitchen - Will You Accept This Kind Of Workmanship?
user123 replied to user123's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi Jaskel, From the two images u posted, I can see there's a thin gap btw sockets, so are those area seamless or 2 pieces? Hi All who responded, I did have an ID who take care of the whole reno...but I learnt now that "paying peanuts, will get monkeys to do the works" No one ever voice concern that the power socket need to be at least 2-3 inches lower from the top hanging cabinet. I think now the solution is to ask them do one whole piece and like what "pckee" did, use boxes for the points and switches, but then again they need to drill the hole on the glass for the existing wire to come out and also the holes for the box to be screw to the wall. headache! -
Glass Backplash At Kitchen - Will You Accept This Kind Of Workmanship?
user123 replied to user123's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Before this they had explained to me that due to the separation between the double 13A and light switch is too thin, and also the top part of the 13A is too thin, it will cracked during manufacturing, that's y the delay for 3 times... and the suggest to cut separate and join... I wanna know r they telling me the truth that it is too thin to fabricate and really need to join the small pieces together? Anyone any idea? Thanks -
Glass Backplash At Kitchen - Will You Accept This Kind Of Workmanship?
user123 replied to user123's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
They said it cannot be manufacture in one whole pcs, due to the thin glass at the switch side, it will breakoff with manufacture, so the say die die must make small pcs to join.... is this true or anyone with such design (switch move to top) have such problem? (glass too thin and will breakoff)
