  1. Instead of DIY, are you really referring to project managing the different parties who will be working on your flat? I just completed mine - it was very tiring but you gain satisfaction from the fact that you know almost every detail of what went into your house, not to also mention the monetary savings. To start off, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve in your flat and then source for different parties to work on it. For example, getting reno permit with proposed hacking, engaging hackers to remove old built-ins/tiles/etc, mason, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, ceiling, painter.
  2. Looking for contacts for Tiler too, please share if you have any good ones.
  3. Hi, please share the plumber contact as I am looking to change water pipes at my place.
  4. Hi, please PM me the plumber contact as I am looking to change the water pipes of my place
  5. Go to either Hougang Green or Bukit Timah Shopping Center. I think these 2 places have a lot of agencies with packages for maids. The costs of having a maid - package cost - initial one time payment to cover maid's loan. This can be deducted from her pay over 6-9 months - maid insurance. To help defray the 5000 bond fee to MOM - maid levy. I think its 200++, but if u have young children or old folks living together, can reduce to 170 Country wise, most expensive are Philippines. Indonesian, Burmese, Sri Lankan also available and monthly I think cheaper.
  6. Depending on your beliefs, a hanging one may/may not be suitable (Some elders told me that its no good for altars with no "legs") I got mine at Cellini, made of rubber wood I think. There is also a teak furniture shop along Upper Serangoon Road that has these.
