    Do you think it is possible to ask them for proof of the thickness and type of glass used (though I know tempered glass has that logo imprinted somewhere)??? Just like buying LED downlights. Those who claimed that their chips are from Taiwan (that's why better and thus more expensive), when asked for proof, none can produce.

    Are these original tiles from HDB? My place is 5-years old. I managed to get the exact tiles from the supplier who did the project for HDB. I got their contact from HDB itself. You give them your address and they should be able to tell you which supplier they got the tiles from.

    Oh yah... I've been checking online for lightings too. www.lightinthebox.com does have really nice ones. Same as you, I didn't get any as I was afraid of the quality. Besides, it's not 'straight-forward' to ship back & get an exchange should the goods be faulty.

    Was considering this but dropped the idea as according to Ron, I need 2 panels for my feature wall, which was about S$3k. It's over my budget. Otherwise, I think this is not bad a product as not much work except drilling a few tiny holes to screw the panels. Few years down the road, don't like the stone, can just unscrew and replace with wallpaper!?! hahhaa

    My sis has one. It does free up the space. And makes the room look much neater! But do get one which is sturdy and of good structure.

    Was advised by ID company's project manager to drop the idea of glass backing in kitchen as I have switches and sockets in the 'middle' of the wall. He claimed that the tempered glass backing will crack easily if there is power socket there (owner accidentally knocks on glass backing while fixing on the power plug). What are your views? Anyone encountered the same?

    Been looking around for ceiling lights and victorian-style chandeliers (small enough for HDB). Don't really like the plastic looks of some of those acrylic ceiling lights. And most chandeliers are just too huge. All fellow home owners who have completed their reno.... or purchase your lights, mind sharing what you've got?

    Several hiccups here and there. At the rate they are going, I doubt I will get my place before Christmas. Due to the hiccups, corrective works had to be made. I reported on 25.11.2013. According to ID, they rectified. I checked. Looked the same to me. Called up on Friday, 29.11.2013, whacked him like mad. He said Saturday will settle. Sunday morning went up. Still the same. My blood pressure is rising. Now, I have nothing to protect myself. The piece of contract is to their own good, not me. Based on trust. Trust is not valued. Talk is cheap. I only want my renovation to MOVE. Not just halt there!! I am giving him one last chance. THIS IS THE WEEK.

    Reno is really a gamble. (I hate dealing with 'sales' people!) I just had a HOT discussion over the phone with my ID firm. Told them this is what I will do ... so I am doing it now. If you noticed, the T&C in the contract is 100% geared towards the ID firm. Nothing to protect us consumers. Was there any 'handover date' stated? Mine didn't. So now I am **** screwed. They can drag and drag and drag lorrr.. So you people, please learn from my mistake. Insist on a handover date ... black and white.

    Dear All, Finally confirmed on my ID and after some 'issues' with the HDB permit, hacking has started. However, I feel very insecure. After asking for a work schedule from my ID, he gave me something really simplified. No details of datelines for purchase of bathroom accessories, kitchen accessories, lightings. Is it normal? And even after telling him that I wanna move in by Christmas, he can still tell me subject to change. So what is my right as the customer? Is there any law to protect my interest in terms of 'handover date'? How much leeway should I give?

    Do you consider the 'pros and cons' of the different tiles? Or is the design and color more important? Anyone used MATT color/finish wall tiles for the bathroom, in particular the wet area? Any problem with the maintenance? I would think those wall tiles with GLOSSY finish will be easy to clean. Your views?

    Hi expert, Need your advice. Are there many kinds of bi-fold doors in the market? I've had many lousy expericences with bi-fold doors - difficulty in sliding, locking, etc. What is recommended?
