  1. Pretty fruitful meeting yesterday. Done Tiles Selection for Both Toilet (although have yet to finalized if we are going to re-do the Common Toilet) On the pix, the base is the Floor tiles, dark color (but not too dark). Initially we have chosen black, but Andrew shared that it will stain with white particles easily etc etc... mmmm True, also tested that it is ultra slippery when WET... (scary) [Thanks Andrew for his advice] Left side is consider featured tiles, with horizontal texture. Right side is cream color, light, this will be the primary wall tiles. If doing Common Bathroom, will also use these 3 tiles, but will change lay-out to make the 'look and feel' different. Done Have confirm the measurement of all the Kitchen Cabinets. Have also confirm the cabinets configuration. (Door + Drawer) Next :dribble: Shopping time. = Everything in the toilet - WC - Wide and Large Sink :dribble: (with cabinet) - Faucet (water fall type... ) - Instant Heater (comes with rain shower) - Mirror (TALL TALL ONE.... :drunk: so that I can shave standing straight.. :P ) - small tap for WC - Toilet Paper holder (DIY) - etc... = Kitchen - Sink (think about 900mm width type, still considering between under or top mount) - Mixer (so call, but only cold water) - Mini tap for Water Filter - Hob (Rinnai RB-3CG) - Wall Mount Oven (Have yet to research which is CHEAP and GOOD :P ) = Lightings - Will have to review what to change and which to change (seems like everything left by Seller is good condition, will see if it fit nicely or maybe change some of them - 'Bar' Counter Light - Dinning Table Light = Electronic appliances - TV - Coffee Maker - Wine Fridge - Dry box (for camera & stuff) - Bar Fridge (maybe) - ... (the list goes on.... slowly ba) ; p
  2. I thought only Toa Payoh have such block. My parent's neighbour bought 2 unit side by side, they are not allow to hack even a door to connect both unit as HDB said all walls except the one between Living room and Kitchen can be hack, all the rest, cannot touch. (BTW, all these 4 block are 3 room flat). So they bo bian, have to walk out of the house to go next door :bangwall:
  3. Actually if you are planning to burn your confidential papers, don't need to shred mar, just burn will do. Or wait till 7th month, they will put up many many big bins for burning, it will be easier to burn your 100KG paper :sport-smiley-004:
  4. For business, yup, they will need to purchase original copy but for us, home user, after our reno, just delete the software lor. No point purchase lar. Or even the trial version if can do the job I'm ok :dribble: Will be meeting him tomorrow, see if can get the name of the software, can't really find such software online.
  5. I really like your color combination of your kitchen. Black and white with touch of RED. :dribble:
  6. Thanks, will be meeting with Andrew tomorrow for tiles selection and other details on the reno. Will also check with him on the status of the reno. I do suspect its the wording that causes the rejection. Counting down. 1 more week to go to collect KEYs... :dribble: :drunk: Seller moving out this Sat, so will be waiting for his SMS to arrange for an inspection and taking over some of his furniture. (They are really super good condition, his dining table looks new.)
  7. Yup, those beams on the roof, that you build a false ceiling to cover up. They expect Andrew to include those in the drawing since I'm hacking walls with such beams. Will let the ID/Contractor solve it. Cause if HDB officially issue the approval and something goes wrong, we have a case to fight. They can't blame anyone since they officially approved it.
  8. Thanks for all your reply. I was notified by both my seller & ID that HDB have request for more detail drawing for my application. HDB DAM funny one. We use their original floor plan, they ask for more detail (like those beams on ceiling !!!). :bangwall: Shouldn't HDB be more aware of what is in the UNIT rather than ID/Contractor etc ? Anyway, hopefully they can approve after submitting the drawing with beams included in the drawing.
  9. Hope so lor... Anyway, I have already send in my signed form to them. Wonder if HDB will update the contractor on the approval or buyer ?
  10. Nice.. countdown to your 2nd appt ; p
  11. Maybe he is those traditional Chinese : 外圆内方... Next discussion will ask him for the specific 3D software name. At lease for my own place I can draw on my own, rather than letting the ID draw liao, change here change there, not according to specification. :sport-smiley-004: Or maybe he can start-up an ID firm on his own, at least can have better control. Join venture !? ; p
  12. Will see how ba. Likely will want to save up those for other electrical appliances that will need to buy. i.e. wine fridge, coffee maker ... .. . (the list goes on ; p ) + some other DIY projects in the future.
  13. As I was chatting with my seller last night, they actually bought over the recess area after they move in. So actually if you don't want to delay your reno and purchasing of the house, you can always do up the recess area later lor.
  14. Yup... That's very very true. After our 1st appointment, we arrange both of us to view the seller house. Both seller & him convince me NOT to remove the cornices, not to re-wire the house, not to remove the original shoe cabinet and store room in the recess area that the owner have done up when he move in !!!............ (cause the condition is too good to be true) there are few other NOT to, will see how after I collect keys... so actually, my total renovation cost will drop a lot further... After all these NOT TO, his quotation will start to strike off here & there liao.... ; p :sport-smiley-004: Such ID/Contractor, where to find ???
  15. I'm a bit slow, tonight than going to get my Seller to sign the indemnity form. Will scan and send him tonight, so that tomorrow he can give to his staff to send to HDB for application. Yes, I'm hacking the Kitchen wall. Almost 1/2 of the wall will all go. Hopefully approval goes smooth so that he can start hacking on 16th May.
  16. Nice... Can start working on it liao... ; p 12th June collect Key, 13th June start reno... 14th July move in ; p sui sui.... very fast one lar, in no time go collect key liao... :sport-smiley-004:
  17. Oh, what I mean is that your 2 older one start giving the youngest one pocket monie & you can stop giving. So when the younger one start working, all the 3 will start giving you pocket monie ; p :dribble:
  18. Wah, I love this one. :dribble: I can almost imagine mine as well.. but in black top... :dribble:
  19. Yup. Got back and now starting to visit RT again ; p
  20. If your base is white color, you can use those white electrical tape to cover the hole (do it on both inside & outside so that it will never drop). Also cut nicely so that you might not get to catch that sticker there. (i.e. outside cut exactly the size of the hole, inside larger, so it kinda flush).....
  21. Ok lar, by than educate the elder 2 to support the youngest when they are working ; p
  22. Very nice and warm house. :thumbs up:
  23. Wait for 3 more years ; p
  24. LOL... so far those CRT in my parents place all lasted more than 10 years. So very value for monies. Their last CRT already showing sign of failure, so going to wait for next Show in June to buy them a new one. (anyway, they always have 2 TV side by side, ON from morning till night..... so very very wu hua ; p )
  25. Nice. teak are very hard and strong. Going to last a few life time :thumbs up:
