No lah, actually the view of the fireworks for ndp is at the side when looking out of the windows, too squeezy for many ppl to see. Though sentosa fireworks are directly in front, i find them kind of low compared to the city. Heard that vivocity also has fireworks during new year? Can anyone confirm?

Today is supposedly an important day, we are gg to hace all the undone carpentry work fixed up today, hopefully... Think ID scheduled everyrhing today to reduce hassle. My mbr now is still 50% done, tats why dun dare to post any picts ... Lol

We paid a lot, seriously, for the prime location, the high flr n the view n reno, many ppl told us we could have easily gotten a suburb condo at this kind of price, but at the end of the day, after seeing the hse slowly done up nicely despite the hiccups here n there and waking up to such a great view, there r no regrets

as mentioned earlier, still ongoing, luckily we are left with quite minor rectifications the kid's room was done up about 90% today, we should see it done by tomorrow. was told that our mbr wardrobe and headboard will be done by midwk as well (arghh... we wait very long already!!) actually we are still waiting for the mirrors for our 2 toilets!!! despite the delays and wait, we are very satisfied with the overall outcome.
-
thanks as u have seen, the toilet is kind of open concept, it is cool to be showering and to be able to look out of the MBR windows at the same time, because we are so high up and the nearest buildings are pretty far and at much lower height, there is no way anyone can catch us up here. its really quite a crazy experience!

we came back in this evening and our new neighbour was nice enuff to inform us that there was a firework show going on... i guess it must be the rehearsal for NDP we also caught fireworks from sentosa yesterday

If u see the wall to the left of the toilet, there will be a sliding tv wall/panel in frobt of it which can cover up a bit more of the glass for that added privacy when crapping .... Lol

thanks liked your cozy place too, and esp the diy stuff u did

actually it is not the fault of the ID, cos we did not renovate the kitchen in the first place since it is in pretty good condition but they are good enough to help me sort it out as soon as possible when the problem surfaced. anyway, i have to vacate my current house this Friday, under a very tight timeframe, no choice have to handover first for us to move in and follow up with the kitchen and the other minor rectification works subsequently. hope it will not last beyond next week. well, i am sure they will be bz clearing their stuff like what I am doing now...

at first i thot your bedsheet is kate spade! lol

unfortunately, handover was postponed to this coming wed... hoping that everything can be done this time round also faced a major hiccup last sat (the supposedly handover date), we found the kitchen leaking from the ground cabinet. was told to prepare for the worst for them to tear down the entire kitchen carpentry to locate the source of the leak (pipes are all embedded behind) it was speculated that the pipe must have been damaged during the prev reno and when we started doing our own reno, the constant turning on and off of the mains during our reno probably aggravated the damage and caused leak. there was always a wet puddle in the kitchen near when our reno began but we have shrugged it off as accidental spillage and didnt really pay attention to it today, about 1/4 to 1/3 of our kitchen cabinets was torn down to locate the leak and (fortunately) they pinpointed a leak in a pipe embedded in the wall, apparently, the water seeped down through the cement wall behind the tiles and escaped from the base of the kitchen cabinet. the leak was most likely caused by a goondu worker who punched the nail into the pipe during the earlier reno... cant believe it when the houses now have tapes on the wall indicating where the pipes and they can still nail it directly on the spot. anyway, we are giving it a night to see how things goes, hopefully the water that is slowly dripping out now are the residual water left in the wall no choice have to exceed a few days after handover to redo the kitchen separately for this unexpected problem...
