nope everything is original from hdb just that the walls are not solid concrete, its more of like a partition , u know it when you knock/bang the wall, there is a hollow feel, it is just like hitting a board actually my agent did tell us before that we need to pay special attention to the toilet if hacking cos the toilet walls of the flat are made of 'metal sheet' (the direct translation of what he told us in chinese) At that time, we didn't really know what he meant but we finally understood today.

Did a site survey with ID today, very surprised to find out that the walls of the toilets are not solid but hollow like tiles laid on a partition wall!!!

finally got our keys last evening! ID has informed us that our reno will take slightly over a month, can't wait for it to begin. Here are some pre-reno picts taken yesterday. Living Room (kinda small compared our current one... appeared even small when previous owner had a lot of furnitures)

continued our shopping for bathroom accessories at summer hardware trading at TYP today finally ordered a rainshower set, my colleague who ordered and installed it 1 wk ago had only 1 word : SHIOK!! Can't wait for our turn!! An instant shower set for our common bathroom:

yes, observed that most of their staff would actually stand there unless you approach them, actually we would prefer it this way then to be stalked by them all the time just now, when we had decided on all the stuff we wanted, we actually had difficulties finding a salesperson as all of them are engaged, we then made our way to the counter whereby this guy saw us and served us promptly, he was quite helpful and even carried the basin from one end to another to place with the tap to help us decide if it was suitable.

Yup. We were there just over the weekends with our designer, the view is simply awesome, already missing it. Hmmm ... So location is not your priority in shifting? Cos u r like considering places almost half an island apart!!

Also went Chelsea Lighting at Jurong East to get our lightings, mainly T5 lightings in bulk as well as some ceiling lightings for bathrooms as well as a track lighting for our corridor. Had quite a nice experience, the sales person (John) was helpful and friendly, prices are competitive and below what we expected after doing some homework in RT.
