Thumbs for the DIY painting! Definitely quite a task to do but really admire your patience to do it. But once you completed, i guess you will feel very satisfied with yourself! Jiayou!

Let me help you with what i went through myself during my reno period... I presume yours would be a new home thus come with the air-con ledge. Basically if price is your concern, i would think that a sys 4 would suit u more coz if a sys 3 + 1 , usually the 1 would require extra space which can be another additional cost of 100 plus if i din rem wrongly. As yours is an semi-open concept, i'm not too sure whether that would affect it.... but 18k btu is for the living room FC or the whole thing? There's a diff in that.. gotta make sure on it. Pricing-wise, you also need to consider on the materials used. Like the drainage pipe and insulation pipes etc. For the maintenance and bills , can't really comment on that as I haven't moved in yet.. but my current house, we are using Starmex Sys 3 for quite some time, and my parents and sis on it almost everyday 7 days a week, and the bill is around 200 plus? Is that considered ex, i'm not too sure. Btw, i did a System 4 for my place if you're wondering. Hope this little bit helps. if you need more info, do let me know.

Can slightly understand your frustration on unable to get a BTO flat.. but it seems to be a blessing in disguise isn't it! For that price, you're able to get AMK area high flr, i think its totally worth it. Looking fwd to see your reno progress! gd luck in choosing a contractor / ID!

Congrats on getting your keys soon and also, seeing the 3D design too! Looking fwd to updates abt your reno progress!

Nice view! Can see the stadium too.. If you are a S-League fan, u can catch Alibrex Nigata there playing. Lots of japs would be there too. Hmm that piece of land has been vacant for a pretty long time, but like u said, possibility of selling it to pvt developer to build condo is quite high since the Canadian sch has set base at the oppo side of the canal.... but oh well, we got limited land in SG.

Hi piknik, I will share the pics that i have took previously... From the air-con ledge Into the MBR Toilet Towards the Common Room 2 Will take more this sat.
-
wah wah, seems like you been getting quite a few quotes on the solid surface top. The pricing is really .. not cheap sia.. Air-con wise, i got mine from Aron and my 2nd installation for the fancoil and compressor would be this coming sat. But the guys did a nice job of doing the piping and trunking in my opinion. If needed, i can take a few pics to share with you =)

Hi cherish, the cost for the MBR platform is around $1.6k.

i think you might get more luck at the Katong branch... coz from my experience, they are not pushy and they let you slowly go through the stuff... Have gotten quite a few stuff from them but not yet delivered. Heard quite abit on the Genting branch through the forum, thus decided to skip them totally. haha
