  1. thanks all for your comments, will check out the hammer drill from Bosch, 700W, hope it does the job this time.. sorry have been busy with the new arrival of baby..so no time to check on this forum thanks again for your feedback.
  2. Thanks the video is helpful but it show drilling thru brick instead of concrete wall, which I believe we need a hammering action instead of drilling. btw may I ask where u get ur bosch? is 700w enuf for drilling thru nowadays hdb wall ?
  3. thanks for your input, yes i had taken special note on the hammer drill settings, the drill bought is masonary type and blunt wise, i unsure, cos the first time i use, i blur blur go and drill in my household shelter interior cos want to try out in a non-obvious place and to put some shelves in it. i see the workers do the drilling, very very fast, but how come i do, so difficult? wondering if the drill need to be a 1000w and above to do so. is it new hdb wall tend to be very very hard?
  4. hi all, kinda of reviving this old thread. Am trying to assess on drilling into my hdb concrete wall, however my hammer drill bosch 400w though can drill but can't penetrate through the wall deep enough. Is it something wrong with my drilling method or the drill is not the right "sizing"? And oso could some one advise on the some principles on the drilling technique and the distance from wall socket (and how to assess if the wall is ok to be drilled). i had attempted drilling 3 holes in my houses, all ended in failure. Trying to fix a simple ikea shelf but unable to do it and house not nice due to the holes..i am now trying to assess on drilling holes for wall fan. thanks
  5. Hi all, It is quite some time since i post. I had ran into some issues on drilling holes in wall. i only manage to drill some way into the wall before i really give up due to the toughness of the wall. How do we know where can we drill and where we should avoid drilling. Any guidelines? How do we detect metal stub behind the wall? Thanks and look forward to any helpful comments.
  6. hi all, can CD be trusted? am concerned as they dun have hdb license, though their contractors are...am concerned about their credibility as if anything happen, we will be in very bad position. but i must say their workmanship in caprentary work and customer service not bad (not sure what will happen when we sign on the dotted thereafter...)..we are not doing tiling work as tiles are orendi laid...any comments about this? if their painting work not up to mark, can we request for other painters to do so? and if so, will the painting done after the works?
  7. That is a very good paint/art work, kinda of interested, how do you manage to do that? can share?
  8. can't give you exact date, but i believe the flat will come sooner than 2010... Premium flat comes with floors tiles while standard flat don't..there is oso an option to include doors as well but for a price of course..
