Bomb shelters usually comes with 2 ventilations. It is ok to seal one of them leaving the other one open.

Sorry to hear your bad news. Look at it from the bright side, better to discover the leak and manage to trace the source now than to discover the leak after they handover to you. Not that all ID firms are irresponsible but I am sure nobody wants to go thru the hard way to find out right? At least now they die die also have to solve it for you. Cheer up. BTW, I am finally getting my keys tomorrow, the house was still in a big mess as of last Friday. Hope the seller manage to clear all his stuff. I will be updating my thread, keep a look out to see the transformation.

Vt20 also got 3D function, just that VT30 tv can convert 2D to 3D. So can imagine watch Channel News Asia in 3D. It is confirm that VT30 only comes in 42", 50" and 65".
-
I will not consider their pricing as competitive. However, I muz mention that they do have quite a nice range of basins.
-
It depends on your preference of size of the tv and features that you are looking for. Probably you might like to share with forummers your requirements and preference. I am sure there are many gurus in this forum who can help. That's the purpose and reason for our existence yah?

Agree with that. samsung LED 55" max consumption 160 watts, at standby only 0.1watt. Panasonic 55" st30 series model power consumption 425watt, at standby 0.3watt.

Vt30s launch already according to one of the panny website. Anyway, vt30 only comes in 42", 50" & 65". I prefer around 55". Since it is a new model I doubt they will price it vas competitive as what I have spent on. Decided on vt20 as image quality not much diff, vt30 is thinner but I dun really care, if I want something thin, would have bought samsung. Further more dun c the need for Internet tv. Connecting my ps3 to tv, I also Internet tv, connect my notebk using a hdmi cable I also get internet tv. Aiyah end of the happy can oredi lah.

Hi Joyousline, paid $4900 for the whole package which includes the TV, a 3D blu ray player, 4 pair of specs, 3 3D movies and 5 years warranty. Considering at the same amount spent, other brands can only get about 55 inch with not much freebies. Most 3D tvs only come with 2 pairs of glasses. Personally I think this is quite a good bargain. Panny is coming out with VT30 series, very competitive, comes with usb dongle for internet surfing (which I find that it is not useful for me), can convert 2D to 3D just like the Samsung, LG TVs.

Seems like most of the tedious jobs are almost done. Dun worry, carpentry works should be the least time consuming, since most of the materials have been more or less cut to size. Furthermore, if they can do knocking and drilling involve for carpentry in daytime, they can ot to proceed with the cabinet door fixtures etc... hope you can make it in time. I will be in the same boat as you are now in a 3 weeks time...

HV harvey Norman. G..C gain city. and yes audio house at Clarke quay no Orel, ex liang court does sell fridge and all other stuff. Price barginable too. However, there are some not very nice review about audio house, as for parisilk, I personally dun find them price competitive enough., juz my 2cents. Hope this helps. If you have friends participating in the upcoming COMEX, better if they are selling TVs at COMEX, reserve the display pieces and buy at dirt cheap price. They usually bring brand new TVs for the show, after the show, they will sell off at very low price if you can cash n carry on the end of the last day. Only setback is these TVs are on for 12 hrs a day during the show. Other than that you get the best bargain in the world. You will have to act very fast though, as these TVs are usually reserved during the first day morning or even before they start the show by other participants in the show, I.e. Before public goes into the hall. Just sharing my experience.

Hi neighbor, love the look of your ceiling. We are indeed neighbors, guess we are only 5 mins away, I am only right beside Dawson Fairprice. The best part is I am currently a Jurong resident too. Hahaha what a coincidence. Most of my windows faces the opposite side where the new blocks and the Dawson Skyterrace currently under construction. Luckily just nice unblock by these new buildings. Will post pics after I collected the keys.

Thanks hope my Reno is smooth sailing too, giving my ID very short time, I actually quite pity him. My new place has got nothing to start with, not even flooring. Haha a blessing for me actually, lower COV

Just to share with all Reno spenders here, Do You Know that HV, C...ts, B...D....., G...C...y,etc all can bargain price especially if you buy more than one product. I bought my tv and fridge from one of these big boys, tv package oredi very cheap. Did my research with the small shops in neighborhood popular for attractive pricing, I pressed them to match price to small players or I will drop my idea of buying both products. Volatility, they literally match my fridge price. PS. This is not the first time I bargain price with them.

If I did not remember wrongly 4 rm in the area is around 200+k for the first owners as they are enbloc relocators. 5 rm is about 70k to 100k more. Sales proceeds is high for them definitely, if they shift to lower cost area like jurong or pasir ris sacrificing convenience to town, the sellers will be cash rich

Hi adeguay, i bought a 3 seat sofa from EL too. For the benefit of all EL customers as I am sure there are alot of forum readers who might be their customer reading in silent mode. pls update if they delivered your sofa as promised, we then tell if Mr/Ms. EL does follow up as promised. Thanks

Hi SR, thanks forbthe advice, hope that things will turn out well

Great location and due to this, I am sure many will agree that COV in this area is ridiculous anyway juz for update, COV of my place is not heaven level cash eg 80-100k that most sellers in this area are asking for. Due to the very very very original state of the flat, COV is lower than average. My current owner has a lot of stuff in the house, any experts here can advise if it is mandatory that the previous owners have to clear the house of their barang barang leaving behind only built in furniture? I am asking because current state of my new flats practically a karang gunee store, whole house, especially living room, from floor to ceiling filled with stacks of stuff. What possible actions can I take if the house is still filled with all the stuff after completion?

I think the description does make sense. LCD and LED tvs used to have poor quality in producing black color (it look more like very dark grey) and blur images for fast motion scenes or objects. Over the last 2-3 years, the LED and LCD tvs have vast improvement. Black has got a darker tone, fast moving objects on the screen looks clearer, picture sharp as ever. Vivid colors and screen brightness, IMHO too bright to view at night unless you fully lite up ur room. Bright as movie star. Some people comment that these screens produces images that look digitised, ie too much make up.... or maybe plastic surgery. There are good things about these tvs too. Recent models have tremendous improvement in image natural looking quality. Relatively thinner, they look movie star sleek in your living room or tv room, whatever. If you can remember twenty years ago, you would not believe that we have can a tv this flat in our living today. Comparing to plasma, they have more economical energy consumption, but how long do you on your tv a day? this is pretty subjective to individual. One more thing better about LED abd LCD Tv, they tend to be a cooler machine(pun intended), in terms of working temperature. Walk around courts, Harvey Norman or Best Denki, you will realise that the thicker plasmas produces more heat than their counterparts. Well so much said about the TVS, you might be thinking that I am a LED/LCD supporter. On the contrary, I am a plasma owner. Owning one 5 years old 42" now, and waiting for my 58" in my new place.........can't wait..... I simply love big TVs..... Sorry Sorry got carried away. I prefer the very natural colour reproduction from plasma tv, images that dun look too digitised. Willing to accept the shortcomings of it being thicker and warmer than LED/LCDs. Higher energy consumption is overlooked on purpose due my unwillingness to forgo the natural image feel plasma can give. Sorry for being too long winded. I have a hard time deciding what to get too. We are spoilt for choices in Singapore. Go with your heart and eyes, just bear in mind that no matter LED, LCD or plasma, our home is usually not as bright as the selling floor of the electronic big boys shop. Try asking to demo to tone down the brightness to see the difference. Take your time to make a choice, no one can force you to buy something you dun like, it is your hard earn money afterall
