Hi PM Sent
-
Thanks folks for all ur compliments! We are glad that our ideas and designs are well-received. My contractor received a call today from someone here requesting to visit my place, I wonder who is that? I should be able to post the completed pics without furniture soon as my contractor informed he should be able to handover by next week end. But I still have lots of time to move in date (late April) so furnitures won't be in so early. Tomorrow Haiku fan will be deliver and hopefully electrician is available to help me install the fan and complete all lights and switches.

Some updates again. I added some more carpentry in the MBR as I tot since there's a space there, so let's fully utlised it. Pictures provided by contractor as I wasn't free to go down to see. Will be having a full height mirror there at the wooden plank facing my WIW This cabinet is a mixture of wardrobe and bookcase. mainly in black and white theme.

Hi vicjessbaby Thanks for liking my place, but you very cute le, how come you post the exact same wordings as sabrinath I will email you
-
Hi Sabrinath WOW...you had been lurking in renotalk for so long as silent reader? Thanks for visiting my Tblog and liking my place. I had PM-ed you my contractor's contact. IMHO, if you already know what are the designs and theme and things you wanna do, and only need someone to help advise on the technical portion, then a contractor is good enough. but you must be able to visualise your design as they normally do not provide 3D. unless you want to pay to engage someone to do the drawing for u. and your concern on the full co-ordination, actually a contractor is also doing ALL those co-ordination. Unless you are doing alot of outsourcing. like you find ur own carpentry supplier, door supplier, painter etc etc for my case, I only outsourced my aircon, other than that everything is taken care by my contractor so he basically do everything for me. You can try checking him out and see if you can click with him

Hi Strawbeari Thanks for visiting and liking my place. I had drop by ur Tblog too, like the lightings that you had posted, I was also looking for those but they are all not so cheap from minimum SGD100 for a nice simple light bulb to more than SGD400 for a worklamp/mega bulb no budget for them so in the end dropped all of them... I had already PM-ed you my contractor's hp no. I do not have the contact of this toilet door subcon as they are all arranged by my contractor and price of the doors are also quoted by my contractor. Its over 1K for 2 toilet doors. You can ask my contractor to do a site survey at ur place then provide you a quotation. He usually 拉长补短, so ultimately it depends on the total amount. Good luck to your coming reno !!

Hi^^ nice house!! Where are you placing ur dining table? Do you have a shoes cabinet? Can show pic?
-
Hi^^ So far the tap is performing well, water flow is smooth, the head of the tap can be turn etc. Seems great. I would recommend to try if u have tight budget but still wanna a nice design tap though it's from china but I reckon many of the suppliers in SG are also getting their supplies from the same origin. Unless u r paying for the higher end brands.
-
Plumbing work done, all the taps were installed. Just wanna share photos of the taps that I bought from wholesale faucet So far so good for the taps, water flow is smooth and installation was smooth. Kitchen MBR Bathroom Love them to the max so far

Wow and888 ur eyes more sharp than mine !! I didn't realised that till u pointed out.. Went to check it out ytd the surface is still ok, not rough. As it's underside I reckon normally is without laminate? =.=
-
Thanks everyone for all ur advices and even pictures !! We had requested contractor to inject silicon for us accordingly...
-
My contractor is saying that the silicon might peel or even trap the dirt when you sweep the floor etc. Though he did mentioned that if I want to inject silicon they can do it for me but ask me dont regret after they do it So I really need to seek more advice before I make the choice. Hope to receive comments from some seniors/experts here..
-
Advices Needed !! Pls see below pics of my wardrobe, I realised the gap between the wardrobe and the floor is quite big And I'm wondering is silicon normally injected to cover up this gap ? My contractor advice against saying that there will be many problems with the silicon in the future due to frequent abrasion by vacuum cleaner etc But I'm quite concern with the gap trapping dust etc... Can someone pls advice me what is the usual practice?
-
Good choice to your laminate too !!
-
U r welcome Beezeebear. Btw what paint are u using? Cos there are some paint my contractor adviced are not good for touching up? Meaning if ur capenter or whoever dirty ur wall after ur painting, u cannot just paint over a small area but need to repaint the whole wall which can be super challenging for u with all those capentry already in place. U will need even more masking tape. So maybe u can seek advice from ur contractor or ID what type of paint CAN allow easy touching up Actually DIY painting really not easy, like my place now still need alot of patching and touching up by the painters.. I already can feel how shiong they will be needed to masking tape ALL the carpentry and ceiling all over again inorder to paint the last coat (cos my contractor say my paint not good for touch up so he only painted one coat sealer and one coat paint) I really salute u for ur effort you put in for ur home!!
-
Buy lots of masking tape!! Need to tape the ceiling, skirting etc
-
In Progress Pic for Shoes Cabinet Mainly white laminated with exposed plywood. Like the nautral grains of the plywood.
-
Hi hi thanks thanks... no need jealous la. Your reno yet to be done mah, so you can also do something similar. Have you confirm your ID or contractor? Wish you luck for your reno too !!

Sharing with IPineapple how does the wire mesh sliding window look like after installation With the door close With the door open Hope you like it as much as I do. The doors can actually be removed easily by lifting it up only. So easily can access to the things inside
